Member Test Build Announcement 11.10.2024

Hello everyone,

The October member-tier testing build is almost ready!

Our level team has been making some great progress around the Alpha Camp and on many areas of the landscape. We also started to implement story-mode functionality around gear enhancement and crafting. These features are still early in development, but once they are more fleshed out they will hopefully enrich the experience of exploration in the world of Kerpal.

It is important to note that much of the design and animation work these last two months has been put into our big combat improvement development which is not ready to be released just yet, but we hope to share the fruits of our effort in the December build.

As always with our development builds the story implementations have spoiler warnings in place at key dialogue options.

    • Lua: Added new function: wl_character_get_num_outfits

    • Sandbox editor: Added an in-game tutorial system for the sandbox with the first batch of tutorials

    • Sandbox editor: Added Workout and Jog In Place poses for Maya

    • Sandbox editor: Added workout poses for Kral

    • Sandbox editor: Added Show Player HUD event receiver to player manager prop

    • Sandbox editor: Added support for animating bone controllers to the animation prop

    • Sandbox editor: Added font size option to UI Int/Float/Text fields

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved directional scaling not working on procedural meshes

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved sex scene cameras not starting from the correct position when transitioning between two cameras

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved value sliders being slow when dragging

    • Sandbox editor: Sharing prop collections now includes the preview icon

    • Sandbox editor: All props that support external images now also support the .jpeg file format

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved posers breaking when moving far away if poser is in custom pose mode

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved sandbox characters sometimes not representing their actual position coordinates correctly

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved crash when adding too many object tracks to the animation editor at once

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved an issue where adding bone controls via the bone manager window would give them an offset when undoing a position change

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved AI navigation not working on the Old Wild Life Map

    • Sandbox editor: Resolved the mouse cursor not being visible when using the color picker pipette

Known Issues:

    • Nav mesh generation is very slow for performance reasons, so NPCs can get stuck in the middle of their path, but will continue once the nav mesh is generated

    • Setting animation speed and amplitude to zero causes sex toys to disappear

    • Clothes textures will not fully load in the character creator

    • Physics break if you scale characters in the sandbox editor

    • Rendering issue on moving characters - most noticeable on hair and clothing
