Patreon Development Update 28.07.2023

New week, new progress report :)

Level: 
We worked on some feedback regarding Apoc and also added more details to the blockout. We also cleaned up parts of the world map during the material rework and switched all the different blockout master materials to a single one

Code: 
Continuing to make progress on the processing range.

Character:
The model and textures for Rad are pretty much finished. Next week we will probably make a version with fur, although this fur-less one looks pretty cool too. We are also working on a very nice Maya sandbox outfit that will fit perfectly with Agon ;)

Animations:
The animations for the Maya x Shiva minigame and especially the emotional dialogue preceding it are well underway. We finished the last few Maya x Kral (Agon) sandbox animations early this week. Now with the addition of Rad we are doing a similar set for Maya x Djablo (Rad) too.

Design:  
This week our design team worked on the combat AI system and editing workflow as well as item and character progression, including levelling curve, character attributes and stats, unlockable perks, itemization and build variety.
We also designed the special attack logic for the planned weapon classes.
Continued progress on several cutscene blockouts.

Morning all, just played the latest build and wanted to address some issues for example Nero's sisters guided tour, she gets stuck after the waterfall jump, she sticks to a corner. Also is there a flashlight that our character can have when it reaches night time? It gets super dark.

Once level department gets around to produce final assets they will of course be added to the sandbox. But we need to hold off until we are 100% certain that the asset is final and wont be modified so the sandbox scenes dont break.

Hey guys it looks stunning, but I want to give some initial feedback on Rad. I can see it uses the djablo skeleton model as its base and I think now we are starting to see some limitations of this. It seems quite bizarre to not have a rat have its most prominent feature, its tail. You can still tell its a rat but its jarring. Still glad to see a rat fellow coming along though, keep up the splendid work.

Just want to say that I feel like the game was at its peak on UE4 with jungle blockout level. From there it went down in style, UI usability, visuals but performance too. A lot of nice looking characters, clothing and animations were added, that's nice. But since that UE5 visuals drop and UI rework you done I went from being hyped for every release and checking patreon every day to checking now for the first time in couple months. :/

Any chance of seeing the new furnishings? I mean the interior and exterior. To be honest, there's too little of it in the sandbox and it would be great to see all the things you've already done for the story version. Why not add a variety of buildings to the sandbox, or rather elements like bamboo for example. There is not enough external and internal furnishings and have to make everything out of shit and sticks, sorry for this comparison).

Very nice, will there also be new haircuts for maya? :< I mean she has like 30 or something, but basicly, I only use 3-4 of it, bc some are just, hm, too random.
