Happy New Year everyone,
Welcome to the first development update of 2023. Since many of our devs are still on their end of the year vacation, things are starting off slow in some departments. But we have big plans for this year and can’t wait to get there. Of course one of our main focus points is to improve performance and physics behavior as soon as possible but these tasks will require a lot of trial and error to find out what is causing the issues so it may take a while before we make substantial progress there.
Here is what we did already start with this week:
Level: We are continuing to improve lake village prop textures and models. The Umbar region is also getting an improvement pass to the landscape terrain as well as replacing dummy meshes with more final objects.


Character: Started work on a new creature: the Jellybomb, a floating jellyfish-like passive creature that explodes when touched. And we are working on a new big girl character: Koodie, a cuddly and caring healer from the lake village.

Animations: Started work on a Max x Scrof minigame. Continued work on the Blackwing animation sets.
Design: Combat system design: working out details for stagger mechanics.
