I downloaded the public test version and it plays really smoothly, animations are already excellent, but flying is just so much fun. I'm sure to be a patron of this game soon, however, will it be an always online, always connected live gaming experience or a good old fashioned, single player RPG? I hope for the latter.

A few story bound sex scenes will most likely not optional but they will be skippable so you dont have to see the hardcore content of them. And no there will most likely not be a full-on character creation like skyrim or so. That part of the game design is more oriented towards witcher series or gta, where we have pre-designed characters that you can customize a little more ingame.

The game has a simple vr video support. If you have an HMD plugged in you can press Alt+V while ingame and it will switch output form your regular monitor to stereo vr. Currently only video output is supported so control still goes via Mouse+Keyboard which can make UI navigation a bit troublesome, but we will work on improving that as well. This means that it will start your vr app if it finds it on your computer by default.

Yes defeat will mean death screen in many cases. Arena fights is an exception where the character is generally only knocked out. But yeah its probably smart to save before hard fights (once the save system is implemented)
