todays post will have a few more visual elements. We want to get into the habbit to make more screenshtos and gifs and such stuff from work so you get to see more of what we do.
So we with that said, check out these things :)
At the top: screenshot from part of the raider camp block-out. A wildly landed ship temporarily repurposed to an encampment shelter.
Our intern has been doing some development for a footprint system. Here is a quick preview of what he did so far.
We also are gradually updating all the hair meshes in the game with our improved method:
We are trying out a mocap solution for a few of the more complex animations. Here is a test anim from our supplier retargeted to one of our characters: [...]
New male character wip: left new level of detail, right current level of detail.
We want to add more extensive weather effects to wild life. Here is a rain effect our intern has been working on this week.

I finally received mine, but 1) it took forever, and 2) I didn't receive a notification of any kind. I just owned it when I went to downloadable games.

Just wondering since obviously the mercs wouldn't just go in "hands a blazin" that just won't be right. I mean crash landing means limited ammo, BUT it would mean they would have to focus on melee and conserve ammo for high risk targets, thus making it more survival based like Fallout HARD mode. (Limited ammo, supplies, and food. Forced to manage EVERYTHING and decide when to fight or run.)

I mean the new mocap will make animations extremely realistic and organic, and very few developers use it Rockstar, Bethesda, and Ubisoft are the few I know of and their animations are the best. (Even if Ubisoft is a money hungry loot box company...) I am looking forward to the next build if this is how it is being done. BUT please don't rush it just to get it out, I am sure we can wait a bit longer for a more polished build.
