Development Update 26.03.2018

Hello everyone!

New week new dev update:

Check out some new footage of our character physics work. Now we can enter other game characters' personal space and annoy them :D

Also we have gotten some new hair styles to play with :) - Epic released their paragon assets and we spent some time checking them out and seeing what we can we can use. Right now it seems the hair models is the most useful. We made our own materials and textures for them and threw them on our characters, check it out:

Further we have a poll coming up and we’d like your opinion on it. So the build as we would like to release it is going to take a while longer and we have a choice now that we would like to pass on to you.
We could:

  1. Get all characters we have so far (including all those from the 2017 builds) into this new project and get it to the level of content we had back then. This would mean there won't be any quest or cutscene or anything like that. Just some characters scattered around the oasis that you can interact with - just like the old build.
  2. Continue with our planned schedule and keep on working on combat and quest and character content and give you a build once that sort of content is more or less at a presentable state. This would take us longer tho, we cant give a certain eta yet.

It was also suggested previously that we could make smaller dedicated builds to showcase individual single aspects such as a new character, physics or a certain system like combat or ai. That sort of thing could happen at a higher rate but wouldn't be consistent in regards to visible content growth. So just based on your preference can you tell us your thoughts about this here or in our discord? Depending on how this goes we will setup a poll to make a decision.

Thanks for helping us out, have a wonderful week

As many others have said, I feel something like Option 1 is probably the best choice for the project; interactive content and a good dicking keeps the pledges cumming. Plus, more sex based content means the more potential for people posting short videos of game content online. Someone posts a webm on 4chan or a booru, people get interested, the follow links and end up pledging. “Is this SFM? Blender?” Nope, it’s a game. 8D Which then brings us to the reward tiers. With a lack of sex containing builds, most of the incentives to increase reward tiers (uncensored builds) become obsolete. With no extra lewdery, there’s no reason for someone to maintain a $5 pledge, let alone anything higher. And finally, on to some thoughts regarding “content releases” if following the Option 1 route. Content wouldn’t have to be new characters or new sex animations. I don’t know about other people, but a change of scenery would be enough for me. Frankly, the lighting and textures of the engine are so beautiful that I spend a fair bit of my time marvelling at how the light plays on the characters’ skin. I’d love to see how the light changes in, say, a tribal tent or a cave in the desert. Or lush greenery surrounding an oasis. Finally, circling back to the second paragraph. The multiple options of we have currently, combined with camera angles and speed settings, allows easy ‘filming’ of short videos. Add into that some occasional changes in scenery, and you can ‘produce’ videos of better quality than many SFM / Blender porn tumblrs… which in turn lures in more pledges. All for minimum effort and maximum profit.

Pepper

very well ma dude. then youll surely enjoy the additions we are working on ;)

Adeptus Steve

I'm only interested in the character physics, animations, and sex interactions - so I just care to see something new in those categories, even if small. I don't care about other gameplay or bestiality.

Option 2

Nice progress, option 2 is probably the best for the final product but since your funding comes from a large segment of the crowd keeping them intrested would favor option 1, i suggest you plane mini builds with new elements to showcase some unique features quarterly or twice a year and plan for a bigger build at year end, this would satisfy both the long term and short term supporters if you know what I mean, either way you don't have to worry about people like me am supporting this game because you guys serve a niche in this market and I don't see any other developers delivering the quality of such content, thanks for the efforts.

So nice! :O

Option 2 perf

Definitely option 1 is the best choice; so, we can see and try out the amazing improvements that the team makes, and to feel more satisfied or motivated, while shelling out $25/mo, haha. I don't comment much, but I want to say that I am a fan of your guys' work thus far -- thanks! I hope option 1 wins!

Conejito

I would suggest option 1, because it gives you the opportunity to experiment with the character placement around the oasis, and think about how the level design, with regards to the combat and quest systems, should work for the final game, as though you were sketching it out conceptually. Option 2 sounds like it skips that and focuses on the gameplay mechanics themselves, but it may simply be a part of your planned schedule already.

Cool

Lust and Kinky Games

Definitely option 1 if you can do it without wasting too many hours to get it out :)

while i would love Option 1, for experimenting and messing around with characters & to see how these new characters look.. i will stick to Option 2, because i dont want the release-schedule to be (unnecessarily) delayed :) & would prefer a more advanced game/build in the long run (even if this means having to wait a little longer) ;D

Definitely opinion 1, I want to tryas much stuff as possible :D

Allerius

I'd vote for option 1 for the next build to be released.

maybe you could alternate builds or something? option 1 first as more of an advertisement and to keep people interested, then release a progress build the next time, or something along those lines. might keep most people happy since everyone will be seeing what the want to see

Cant decide tbh

Option 2 sounds better to me

Renmaru

I honestly prefer option 1. Not just for myself but I think for the project in general, I see you've lost quite a bit in funding in pledges and I am sure it's mainly due to the fact that there hasn't been any visible and playable content in a long while. I think generally speaking people would be happier if there was something for us to put our hands on, even if it isn't much. (Just make sure it's clearly indicated that it's a sandbox test build and not a game build)

TheCrank69

I prefer option 2.

I think maybe posting a small build for now would quiet people down, satisfy those who just want more content and show some of the progress you have made. But after this build I believe it is far better to continue with option 2 as that will be better in the long run.

Belly97

as much as my dick wants me to say 1, I think that 2 is the better option.

For the small scene option. I would think posting these wouldn't slow you down much from pursuing option two, since in most case you're creating scenes/maps to test things out anyways right? For example u could post a build of the physics test u just did. That's probably a good thing to caveat that this option diverts much less resources than option one as it doesn't have to be comprehensive or even fully functioning.

Wow new hair looks great. More customization options the better. Perhaps option one is best for now in bringing the old build with characters in place to enjoy the sex scenes for now. At least until we get farther in development to show the other aspects in a better way with quests and combat. Maybe also adding in new locales to wander around besides the oasis as they get developed in the future.

I'd have to agree with MajorisCannis. There are enough games labelled adult that are too focused on the game aspect and not the adult content (quality and quantity are sacrificed). Although I think option 2 would offer a more indepth and probably better overall experience as a game. For fappers out there and folks that are seeking specifically adult content, there are not many adult games that focus mainly on the adult content. It becomes a 4 hour stamina edgefest when content is offered sparingly.

2 imo

Slonax

I think option 1 is the best. I think there should be more sex content since this game is labelled under the Adult Game section. Don't get me wrong having the other components is great too. If there was a possibility of working a bit of both, that would be great. I believe you attract more patrons by producing interactive sexual content rather then focusing on the combat. I understand the combat piece is a big part of the game but so is the sexual piece/character customization. I believe most of the patrons pledged for this game expecting sexual content, but that is just my opinion.

woo-hoo, I'm for option 2 too! its concept is very promising! 💋

ZULEYKA GAMES

Option 2 for sure.

Xorking

I'm sure everyone's antsy to get their hands on a new build, however I think option 2 would be the best for both you and us. Don't feel like you have to rush it honestly :)

Jimothy Rogers

I think option 2 would be the best choice in the long run since your not having to create a new build every month and can focus on the main game. Having said that the selfish side of me would prefer option 1.

Rox79

I'd take option 1 on this. There are enough new characters and physics updates to warrant a new build as is. The quests and combat seem like as much work as what you've already done.

Derrick Perry

1. We've been waiting a while for more stuff to interact with. And, frankly, we're not sure if you need a hugely complex game, when the fun stuff is to walk around and screw. ;-)

SommerPassy

Option 2 with maybe a mini build now and then for sowing off new stuff like that sexy physics:D I think you should stick with your plan. Time is what you need to get stuff done and after seeing what you guys have done so far it would be fair to say this is a quality game in the making. Haters will always hate if you dont put out builds often but quantity means less time on the actual game. Step back and work your magic.

phalicobject

shouldn't there be a poll for voting? Edit: didn't read the last part at the end my bad

Larolaroth

I would be cool with option 2 and occasionally some small sneak-peak builds along the way.

Mrspirit

Either is fine with me, though you should do 1 if solely for the fact that it's another milestone you can be happy about AND it can show off all the new models and stuff. :0 Just remember to add the flight, that was one of the things i absolutely adored about the first build.

First one

Option 2 if you ask me better wait and see new machanics is allways a nice thing

Linkadion

I'd choose option 1.

Bob Smith

i'll be honest... everytime i see an update poping out here.. i m more and mroe scared about the fact my pc not gonna run that game anymore :(

Macadam

I think you guys should go with option one. I believe it gives players more opportunities to spot bugs and gives them something to do.

Llajdi

I'd say option 1. You'll get that stuff in eventually and having something to play with in the meantime would make the wait shorter imo.

Kim Åkerman

I'd prefer option 1

NQ

Option 1 would be the best imho

RazRazor

Holy shit that's impressive. Personally I'm not a fan of that bestia.. content but i really respect your work.

Genickzwirbler

Well the second is the more viable choice in gaming terms BUT giving a small build in between time would give patrons and antsy people something to fiddle with and if it is not time consuming on the team that is. I mean the longer you go without any sort of build the more patrons (antsy ones ) will leave to other ventures kind of slowing things down even more financially thus making a new problem to deal with. I have seen this with many other artists and game designers impatient customers = lost revenue =game slowing down in production = game being stopped and poof! Gone. But once again I am not saying 2 is not bad just think antsy patrons will get tired of waiting for something and then more will leave then come in. (Ironically the assets you got are from such a failed wait for a big build that flopped. RIP Paragon.)

Ryproar

God YES! Countess HAIR! NICE!

DooDoo

Probably the first option, an open world game is better than a quest railed game (also less taxing for the devs), let the player gather resources to gain upgrades or items, you could increase the world size as you build the game. A very detailed small world is always better than a low detail large one.

I really like it. Can't wait for new update!

I'm a fan of the second option. Get the base content into the game to test before you get all the models in.

Austin

This is amazing XD I love the rubber-like responses, especially when Max got hit in the face :3 I foresee opportunities!

Jurriën Dokter

I'm patient. I say the 2nd, less to see now, more to see in the future. Could always go back and grab the old builds to see that sorta thing again, onward~!

I’d like the first option better.

A Young Munch

Second option.. no need to push out another version without much content. You know how it backfires.. :( I call dips on the red head. :D

Wolfie

Lol, I really like the character physics.

someone_unkown

The latter is better. Wouldn't want to hinder forward momentum just to have another sample. You guys are the best by the way.

Reznicova

I'd prefer the first option personally

Ketra

The future looks bright. This is the amount of character colision i always wanted
