It's hard to say, the main reason it is done is to raise talent, as in leveling efficiency, Sylvia is already at 100% efficiency, so the only reasons she would do it now would be to escape some form of mental trauma or maybe soul damage. Or to pull a lucifer and just split herself to get more stuff done without ever recombining but I get the impression that is rough on the soul.
