Sometimes a comic can have an aspect so strong that it compensate for any other weaker parts and still become entertaining. Like original One Punch Man by ONE have great storyboard and character portrayal that it's become popular despite its unpolished visuals. What are those strong aspects in your eyes?

I have been thinking about having more exclusive postcards events. (like four seasons postcards) But some supporters are not comfortable leaving their personal data on Patreon, so I need to manually sort out many of the addresses, which make the process very time consuming. So I came up with some ideas. Which ones do you find it more suitable for you?

• At the end of the Special event, I'll send a Google Form Link asking for address through Patreon's message. - 7(26.9%)
• Create a $5 tiers post with the link to a Google Form. Have a clear sign saying that supporters who didn't leave their address there would not be able to receive it. - 5(19.2%)
• Still use the Patreon. But have a clear sign saying that supporters who didn't leave their address would not be able to receive it  - 17(65.4%)
• For those who don't trust leaving their personal data on Patreon, they can send it directly to you via private message or on Patreon itself or on Discord  - 1(3.8%)
• I agree Patreon security is not up to scratch. - 1(3.8%)

• Mostly happy, but maaaaaaybe a little more semi-NSFW (ie characters in underwear) assuming you finish the comic this month. That should be the main priority. - 1(4.8%)

Regarding my Erotica comic: "Office love" so far, what aspects do you like?

One of the $10 tier benefits is "PSD files". But preparing  PSD files actually took quite a bit of time (Due to Rearranging effects and flattening images to save space. Otherwise, files can be really big, such as exceeding 100 mb). Perhaps those time can be used to create artworks instead. How do you think about this "PSD files" benefits?

• It's valuable and wouldprefer to keep it. – 3(15%)
• Not all that interested in it and wouldn't mind it being removed from the benefit – 13(65%)
• Rather than preparing all files, change to "on request" that supporter is allowed to asked for the specific PSD file they want by DM – 11(45%)
• I don’t mind other Patreon did something similar using either mega drive or another files sharing service. I would recommend a discord server and sharing the files there. – 1(5%)

My response:

Thanks for everyone’s feedback. As always, I’m glad to see that my productivity seems ok. Regarding the other issues:

1. What could be a Comic’s strength that strong enough compensate other weak points.

I guess it’s no surprise that comic, being a carrier of a story, would need more attention to the writing. Considering my still so inexperienced in this aspect, my comic probably would not be too pretty in writing department. But I’ll try my best.

2. How to collect address data in exclusive postcards events with automation.

Surprisingly, most (65.4%) agree to keep using Patreon but with label reminding that supporters who didn't leave their address would not be able to receive it. But still, that’s only 17 votes, which doesn’t account for the majority of my $5 tier supporters. Hmm, maybe I can still give the option a try, but change if things didn’t go well. By the way, the suggesting of allowing people send address directly to me is the way I already adopted. The problem is that quite a lot of people do so and making me need to manually organize their data and making the process long and tedious. That’s why I was asking if other automation option could be more acceptable.

3. What aspect of my comic you like so far?

Characters form win! A Pleasant surprise. But then again, I shouldn’t be since I’m not all that good in storytelling. Anyway, I’ll try to keep this aspect’s quality consistent in the future! :)

4. Keep the PSD files reward for $10 tier?

OK. I’ll make on to “on demand”. If any $10 tiers supporters wish to have my PSD file. Please DM me on Discord, E-mail, Patreon, DA note or any platform that you can contact me through private message.

2. I personally like the pony stuff the most

Yeah, I kind off ignoring pony for the while. I’ll try to some pony stuffs in the future. :D

3. Prefer sfw stuff

I happened to have a few SFW comic ideas in mind. Once I fulfilled most of my promises of commission for my supporters, I’ll work on it.

4. Prefer Erotica (Semi-nude such as character in underwear) rather than Pornography.

Certainly, I’d happy to draw more of those. Though I also am interested to have some more spicy stuffs. Maybe I can draw more Erotica for one month, then more Pornography for another. Then repeat.

5. Many kind words and encouragement: “I love your drawings and I think your doing great so keep it up” “Keep on truckin', friend. You doing great!” “Keep up the good work!”, “Loving all you do so far!”, “You're working hard and doing a phenomenal job!”, “Keep at it, your art is wonderful and very cute, can’t wait to see what else you have in future”….etc

Side note. “You’re a good man” in Taiwan is actually a phrase used to either reject someone’s romantic interest or to break up with them. The origin of it is unknown, but it seem to start when people start to use the following sentence “You’re a good man, so I believe you can find someone better than me ” or something along with those lines to reject other’s romantic pursuit. The phrase then became popular and being told of being a good man is often synonymous with being rejected in casual conversation.
