This finished flat color sketch piece is part of the Bad Luck Charm series, masterminded & commissioned by DamieWamie (Twitter) // Damiekins (FA). Lightning's misadventures continue when the brand causes him to run afoul of one of Sawyer's latest pranks.

“Harder!” a muskrat shouted through cupped hands. 

“Make 'em cry!” demanded a portly boar. 

The guards snickered, following the requests with aplomb. The paddles sped up, the dragon and horse’s cheeks barely having time to bounce back into place before the next strike set them wobbling again. Ivan began to yell, eyes wrenched shut and rump wiggling. As intended, the pillory made it impossible for him to squirm away from his punishment, but that wouldn’t stop him from trying. 

Sawyer’s toes curled against the wooden floor of the platform as he started to really feel the burn, one eye open and twitching as his tail lashed impotently in his bindings. He was having a lot of fun, for now at least. The guard behind him seemed quite enthusiastic to change that, though, targeting his sit spots with skillfully upward strikes until the little dragon was practically dancing on his feet, cute little oofs leaving his stubble-bordered lips.
