Out on one of his rare prowls around ranch property, Kade discovers a cute wolverine farm hand out fixing fences by the tool shed. Telling himself he'll get a proper introduction later, Kade nearly leaves the young man be, until he hears a loud CRASH! and a chain of truly vulgar cursing.

The cougar doubles back after all to find that the wolverine has completely destroyed a fence bar in a fit of frustration. He decides to seize his chance and puts on his best serious façade. To his delight, it works instantly on the wolverine, who blushes deep red and begs Kade not to tell his boss, Lightning.

Kade informs Skarin that he won't tell Lightning if the wolverine agrees to take accept discipline from him instead. Assuming Kade was less experienced than Lightning, Skarin eagerly agrees.
