When Douglas the mage hears word of a gargantuan creature with... "unusual" methods of removing threats, he sets out to learn more. Endowed with magical acuity, it's not long before he starts hearing whispers of the true nature of the horror buried deep within the Earth, and sets out to conquer it-- not with sword, as so many others have, but with a proposition.
After passing Paddul's tests satisfactorily, Douglas is greeted by the sight of Paddul conveniently stuck in a rock formation. With a conjured hairbrush and Paddul's own tail, the wizard sets to enjoying the payoff for all his hard work and wizardly sleuthing with gusto.
