Full Resolution File Type Poll, + Updates!
Added 2021-04-13 17:53:51 +0000 UTCHowdy, y'all! The missus and I were discussing full resolution file types this morning and we both agreed maybe it would be best to ask y'all what you prefer!
Are you guys enjoying the full resolution jpgs, or would you like to switch to png files? I'm confident in jpgs, but if you guys prefer png files, it wouldn't be extra work for me- I'd rather give y'all what you want!
And now, for some housekeeping/updates:
I'm currently working on a short comic featuring the ranch gang (which 5$+ patrons can see right now as WIPs, if you don't wanna wait). I'm thinkin' of chunking out the comic into micro-chapters so y'all aren't waiting 10 years to read it. So if I'm a liiiittle quiet while working on that... don't worry! It just means there will be a larger drop coming.
If I fail to get all the way through, I will definitely at least release the script - which is complete!- to y'all as a Patreon exclusive...
Though hopefully, I'll finish it! In which case, you guys will all get early access before I post the comic publicly, as a thank you for your patience~
Also, we're REALLY close to reaching the 100$ milestone?? THANK YOU! Gosh that sure does mean a lot to me. I may do something if we reach that milestone as a thanks, so if you have an idea on what you might wanna see for that, feel free to leave a comment! (I'm thinkin' I might just open requests with some sort of theme and do one or two of my favorites, or maybe just do some busts of your guys' OCs during a stream/recording?)
Thanks so much for supporting my work- it really means a lot! : D

In my opinion? Not too terribly much! PNG used to be the preferred file type because it's a lossless format, which can translate to a clearer image. At 100% quality 300 DPI like what I save out, it's what my wife calls "functionally loss-less", which means you won't see a super huge difference despite there technically being one. (PNGs also support transparency, but my pieces generally don't have that.) TL;DR it is unlikely you will notice a difference, but some people prefer PNGs because of their history of being high-quality. It's no biggie to save out different/extra file types (within reason) so I thought I'd ask about preference and leave it up to y'all! Hope that helps answer your question.
