Status update 15.7.2023 / Comic progress
Added 2023-07-15 10:00:57 +0000 UTCHey! It's time for my comic status update, and I just finished page 7 for part 2, so only 2 pages remaining! I start working on page 8 today. I'm going to draw new large pictures for both pages so I think it will take at least 5 more days until it's finished. This should be the last comic progress update and my next post will be part 2 of the comic!
Overall progress has been a bit slower than I hoped, but that is also partly because I experimented by leaving grayscale step completely out in some pages while drawing part 2 which makes drawing pictures a bit faster. I think the end result looks fine especially for a comic, but I think it doesn't reach the detail level of my usual work so I have been making rest of part 2 with grayscale and also retouched the earlier pages for part 2 afterwards, which took some time.
This also has been quite nice learning process about do's and don'ts and what to do differently if I end up doing comics again. Next time I will let you know when I want to make a comic instead of starting it out of the blue like now, but I won't make another one for rest of this year at least since it's quite a commitment.
When I post part 2 I will also make a separate public post instead of changing part 1 visibility. The public post will have part 1, couple first pages of part 2 and ad of part 2. It will be the post that I will share outside Patreon for free users, so it's not aimed for my patrons. The full part 2 post will be aimed to you instead.
