Hailee had arrived home after work, hoping to be greeted by her mother in her best behavior. But, her mother wasn’t anywhere to be found. It was okay, she should be getting home in the next twenty minutes or she would be in trouble.
She was about to lay on bed for a little nap when her phone started ringing.
Hailee picked up. It was her mother.
“Mom, are you on your way?”
“Hello,” said a deep, masculine voice, “Is this Hailee?”
“Yes,” said Hailee, going full mama bear, “Where’s my mother? Who are you? Is she okay?”
“My name is Michael. I’m a student at your mother’s university. I’m afraid Evelyn’s had an accident...”
There was a second of silence
“Accident? Is she okay? Where is she? Is she in the hospital?”
“Yeah, I’m sorry,” said Michael, chuckling a little, “I understand how that might’ve sounded. But, it’s not that kind of accident.”
“Kind of accident?”
And then, it hit her. Her mother was not in the ER or hurt in any way, physically. No, this guy meant accident as in not-making-it-to-the-bathroom accident. She couldn’t believe her mother would just wet herself at work. Or, she could believe it, but it wasn’t something she was expecting so soon. She didn’t even make it through a week of work before she disgraced herself in front of everyone.
Hailee sighed.
“Where is she?”
“She’s sobbing next to me. I’ve been trying to get her to tell me where to take her. But...”
“It’s okay. Can you bring her here?”
“Sure. Just give me the address and we’ll be on our way.”
Hailee gave Michale their home address, and then she only needed to wait. Her mother would never be out of diapers, something Hailee had been planning and now the moment was so close.
Around twenty minutes passed when she heard a car park outside the house and a knock on the door.
She opened the door and was met by a handsome man with mysterious eyes and just as tall as her. He smiled at her, and didn’t say anything at first.
“Hailee?”
“Michael?”
He nodded.
“I wasn’t expecting someone so...good-looking,” he said, blushing, “I’m sorry we had to meet like this. But, I have your mother in my car.”
“Oh, right. The baby.”
“The baby?”
Hailee nodded and gave Michale a sign to follow her. They both started walking towards the car, where they found an Evelyn on the back seat sitting over a plastic back. She had very red cheeks and she was sucking on her thumb.
“The baby,” she said, “She’s been having a lot of accidents at night. Then, she started having them whenever she napped. And now, apparently she’s just losing control of herself. So, I put her back in diapers this weekend. I should’ve kept her in them.”
“Diapers?”
“Yeah. She seems like an educated, smart woman. But she’s truly just a baby in need of her mommy,” said Hailee, opening the door to pick Evelyn, “She stinks. I’m sorry she did that. I can pay for someone to clean your car. That’s the least I can do.”
“That’s okay. If you truly want to make it up to me. Why don’t you let me take you out one of these days?”
Hailee picked Evelyn in her arms like a mother would to a sleeping toddler.
“I would love that,” she said, “You have my number. Don’t you?”
Michael nodded.
“Well, Michael. I have to take care of the little one. But, I’ll be looking forward to your call.”
“Nice meeting you.”
“Nice meeting you, too.”
Michael opened all the windows in his car, went inside, and left. Meanwhile, Hailee took Evelyn inside. Her mother’s regression was progressing faster than she had expected. She wondered if Evelyn was ready for the next step. Is not as if she had any say in the matter. Soon, Evelyn would be nothing but the baby of the family, and she would be her mommy.
Chapter Twelve
In the dream, Evelyn was in front of her class. She was wearing big girl undies and a professional suit. She was talking about her favorite female writers, and how empowered she felt by their work. Everyone was paying attention to her, and she was proud of herself.
But, it didn’t last long.
Her daughter entered the classroom. Everyone seemed to know why but Evelyn. Hailee said nothing as she pulled down Evelyn’s pants to reveal a big, thick diaper. They’re was silence, and then the laugh began. Everyone was laughing, even Michael, and Evelyn could do nothing but drop on her knees as she pushed a big, mushy poo.
When she was finished, her daughter congratulated her on being such a good baby. And proceeded to change her right there, with everyone looking at them. Evelyn just cried like a toddler as she sucked her thumb.
Then, she woke up.
Her memory seemed to be failing a little. She had no idea how she got into her house, but she was sitting in her playpen, and she had a very obvious mess in her panties. It felt cold around her crotch, and a little bit itchy. She tried to remember what had happened, and then it hit her.
What unfolded in her classroom just hours before came back like a flood and was enough to make her cry again. This time, however, it was a desperate cry. The kind of cry you should expect from a lost kid in a supermarket looking for her mommy. And, that was exactly what Evelyn wanted.
“Mommy,” she cried, “Mommy.”
But there was no answer.
It must have been a couple of minutes of Evelyn crying desperately. Although, to the mother of the house it felt like an eternity when her daughter finally appeared. She was wearing an apron and nothing else, which made Evelyn feel a tingle sensation in her crotch. Though, that might have been the pee escaping into her already soaked and messy panties.
“Oh, you are awake. Good.”
Evelyn was still sobbing, “What...what happened?”
“Well, according to Michael, he took you to his car after your...scene at college. And at some point you fell asleep,” she said as if there was nothing wrong with it, “I must admit I was surprised. If you wanted to be a baby so bad you could’ve just told me. You didn’t need to disgrace yourself in front of your students.”
“I didn’t...”
“You didn’t what, exactly?” She said, getting closer to Evelyn’s playpen, “You are going to tell me that you are not sitting on your own shit. That one of your students doesn’t need to wash his car ‘cause he brought you home. That you are a responsible adult... don’t make me laugh. I thought I could just let you be an adult at work. But, now I see you cannot even pretend to be one for a few hours.”
“Pretend?”
“You are a baby. You are my baby. And that’s everything you’ll be from now on.”
“No,” said Evelyn, crying even louder, “I don’t wanna. Mommy, pwease.”
Hailee chuckled.
“Look at you. You already know what you are. Just don’t fight it anymore,” she said, grabbing her by the armpits and lifting her, “If you thought the weekend was bad. Just wait to see what I have in store for you.
