Jellyfish Invasion theory preview

So as I announced in my WHAT'S NEXT? video, I'm gonna be making a final SB compilation video with new mini theories - including the Jellyfish theory I teased in DFTM2.

To be honest I didn't really choose that topic with an actual theory in mind, it just fit well in the DFTM2 film to foreshadow the plot. So while I don't have a very in depth theory, I still managed to find some interesting stuff about the Jellien invasion that warrants a mini theory.

Here's one small part of the theory: I figured out where the Jelliens came from!

In the title card for the episode "Planet of the Jellyfish" we see a background of a barren alien planet, and we've actually seen this planet before.

In "SquidBob TentaclePants" Sandy tests out her new teleportation device and briefly teleports SpongeBob and Squidward to a planet with 2 aliens. The aliens don't resemble the Jelliens at all but the planet background is the EXACT same as the one in the "Planet of the Jellyfish" titlecard.

At first I thought maybe this meant that this was the planet the Jelliens came from and they're just a different species from the ones we see in SquidBob, but then I noticed the orange spotted ringed planet in the background of SquidBob. It's suspiciously not present in the POTJ titlecard...

POTJ is very obviously a parody of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and the aliens in that movie invaded earth because their homeworld was "dying"

I think this spotted planet we see in SquidBob (in S4) is the original home planet to the Jelliens, and just like in Invasion of the Body Snatchers the planet died sometime later, which is why we don't see it in the POTJ (S8) titlecard, and the Jelliens came to Earth for a new home. The spots on the planet even make it look like a Jellyfish!

Even if none of this was intentional it's cool how it all lines up.
