It's interesting the reaction of that pair of Saderans to the cadets marching: bunny soldiers properly drilled as line infantry scared the bejesus out of them. And they aren't even a rifle company yet. I also found Motoko's musings on their uniforms amusing. Even though the cadets were trained by Tanya they still find their uniforms in field colors boring, while the elder bunnies basically dislike them. I think that Tanya will have to compromise and once they have the resources fit her troops with a nice dress uniform in a very flamboyant and gaudy design: anything from Landsknecht style to Napoleonic would work to make Tanya's soldiers happy π

I suppose Mage class is a compressed and basic elements so they can teach them and then Tanya can give them more difficult lectures and training until they become a fighting force. "I'm just built different" I also like how motoko isn't blindly following what she is taught, they where taught to take what works and if there's something better to seek to incorporate it. Poor Kaeso, the Catboy probably thought his apprenticeship was a "you are going to be taken away for life" sort of deal. He shouldn't worry about it unless one of the sister squad takes a liking to him, which means he will be shared.

And promptly terrifies everyone present by drawing the mana out of them, and then at the end by saying the seven words that make even the most hardened academic tense up. Looks like Rei is on the fast track for her own company command, and it looks like Tanya is organising things so the cadets continue to make a good impression on the citizens of Kontia. Motoko wanting to add to her Wyvernslayer medal collection but agonising over the maths to do magic is amusing. Every other Lepus will need a cannon to take one down, but once she's good enough, she won't need one.
