Did Tanya just create her own version of the atomic bomb? Because that's what it looks like to me. Or maybe the Die Glocke from WW2 where it would crystallize your flesh, separate your blood into jell, and decompose all plant matter into grease within its range. But instead of that, its ranks of men dying in horrific agony as their bodies are consumed by blue witch fire. Just the psychological effects alone would be devastating.

2025-11-29 23:04:22 +0000 UTCAs we discussed before, she will need to find a reliable source of Fuel since she doesn't really has a lot of timber or coal for burning. I wonder if she can find Oil in the dessert near by? Of course this ManaBurn works quite well on organic matter, so she could mix a small amount of organic material with things like sand, clay or other soft minerals to be fed to the pyre ( No humanoids for now, we need to leave the War crimes for later) And the other races keeping her from really learning their magic language may have doomed them since she had to use her own Germanic based one, and no one in Falmart would have any idea on how to read in for years. (Again I really want to see a JSDF member having the chance to see one of those enchanted items only to realize that the runes are written in German in some kind of programing language.)

2025-11-29 18:37:23 +0000 UTCCourse the Manaburn also basically makes such materials fill with mana so it can then consume that mana as it spreads. Oh now I'm scared if it's actually sentient and Tanya created mana elementals

2025-11-29 15:44:42 +0000 UTCIt appears floating mana in cities has decades to centuries to seep into all materials around in various amounts depending on absorption quality so manaburn spreading over marble means its a literal tinderbox of degrees able to make a obscenely devastating firestorm exnihilo.

2025-11-29 15:27:13 +0000 UTCFire relies on oxygen, fuel and heat to exist. Thay those things might be bit different doesn't mean they don't exist. What does this Manaburn rely on then? You can also just interrupt the process as Tanya did.

2025-11-29 14:15:42 +0000 UTCWell, there are several different ways to prevent a normal flame from spreading or put it out. At least one of those should work.

2025-11-29 14:14:49 +0000 UTCShe has no idea at all. She is too caught up on her plans for infrastructure and logistics, right now she is just thinking of the Manaburn as a way to make magical fuel. Yannit on the other hand has been exposed to the idea of creating weapons ever since he entered Tanya's service.

2025-11-29 14:06:05 +0000 UTCUsing Manaburn to power low-grade enchantment crystals... It's a bit like using napalm to run your lawnmower. Tanya has no idea that she's effectively created a WMD, does she?
