Poll Results | Developer Update

Hey everyone!

Before jumping in to the Beta 0.3 first look details, I wanted to just talk a bit about the recent polls and some of my plans moving forward with KoP development.

== Character Interest ==

The first poll was just a general interest check, seeing which characters people were most excited to see more of.

1. Queen Eliza (41%)

Unsurprisingly, Queen Eliza won the poll with a majority of the votes. This solidifies the fact that Beta 0.3 will be a focus update for her, continuing her storyline further! I'll do a proper 'first look' post soon for that update!

2. Aphrodite (19%)

Next up, Aphrodite had a large chunk of votes. Similar to Minerva in ToP, her story is more central to the main storyline so it's a bit trickier to work on content for her so soon. But I'll try and come up with some ways that players can do more with her at an earlier stage of the game.

3. Penny (11%) + Others

Aside from that, the poll results were somewhat even. Interest in Penny (bakery girl) seems to have gone up after her debut in the previous update which is cool! Lydia is at rock bottom (1%) which I assume is mostly due to her just receiving a scene. It was fun watching some characters get a surge in votes through the duration of the poll. Madame Rose (9%) snuck up there after being pretty low in votes at the start.

Thanks for everyone who voted! Really useful info moving forward! Maybe I'll do more of these every few updates.

== Character Designs ==

The other poll was a bit more split. This poll was asking what players thought about the idea of doing a soft adjustment to the overall design of the female characters. Making certain 'parts' of their anatomy a little smaller (10-30% decrease)

The results for this were neck and neck. A lot of people prefer the current style, other players wouldn't mind seeing things get scaled down slightly. 15% were impartial too.

Moving forward, I think my decision will reflect that split a bit. Some characters, most probably, won't really be getting any major changes. But as a benchmark, I want Aphrodite to be one of the bustiest characters. So other characters might be getting adjustments over time. Maeve & Madame Rose are two characters who I might experiment with downsizing a little bit before they start getting NSFW scenes.

Overall, don't expect any radical changes to the game's style. Most changes should be pretty subtle. But I do find that some recent scenes and designs have been a little too large for my personal liking. So I'd like to find that sweet spot where I'm happy and most players are too!
