Live Q&A on Friday 26 February @ 12:00 pm UTC
Added 2021-02-25 21:14:55 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
We're having a Live Q&A with core engine developers on Friday 26 February @ 12:00 pm UTC, check the livestream URL to see how that converts to your timezone.
Livestream URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4zaFFTyqm8
This time around we'll have Bastiaan Olij (who started working full-time on XR support and rendering this month) and Joan Fons (who will start working full-time on rendering in March, blog announcement coming soon™) to talk about what they're working on.
Come with your questions, both for them specifically and for the rest of the team, as we'll also have a regular Q&A session taking questions from the chat!
And thanks hugely to all of you patrons for your support! Godot is growing extremely fast both in its feature set and user base, and we're extremely lucky to be able to also grow the team of hired developers thanks to all of you and corporate sponsorships.
See you at the Q&A!
(If you can't be there, it will be available in replay, and we're always happy to answer questions in comments too. :))

2021-03-31 23:47:25 +0000 UTCI think for this engine needs to be improve the 3D part, such as physics, particles and lod system.. the rest is really good and easy to use.

2021-03-09 22:58:58 +0000 UTCjasper, i think most of what you're suggesting would be better implemented by just bulking up the customization and flexibility of the particle/physics systems and letting artists set up their own specific looks/behaviours per game

2021-02-27 21:45:30 +0000 UTCCan we have particle engine with individual access to simulated particles data, like coordinates? That would help with more complex simulations (e.g. object placement).

2021-02-26 06:40:09 +0000 UTCI don't really have more, other than we get an optimized, wind system, rain system and, fire system ( and, also smoke ) <3 . . And, MORE particles <3

2021-02-26 01:25:20 +0000 UTCOkay, all my features have been added to Godot . . There's talk of adding PhysX support, as a plug-in, I guess I have ONE question, is it possible to get even MORE particles in Godot, I know you have GPU particles, and that means MANY more particles, but can we get EVEN more, maybe compression, if that makes sense . . .
