Poor acting or janky dubbing would really take players out of the gameplay experience. I would rather not have that ruin what's been so far a pretty good game. If you really want to implement AI dubbing or any dubbing of some sort, an option to disable the dub would be essential.

2023-07-29 14:07:03 +0000 UTCIf there is to be any voice overs, I think it should be AI, and not actual people. The reason is that having actual voice actors creates an immense work load; every time the script changes, or any changes are made, the new lines must be sent to the VA, evaluated, recorded, mixed, sent back, vetted and implemented. An AI works immediately on-demand without any extra work. I don't mind there not being any voice over at all, but if there is going to be any, it should definitely be AI (I think it sounded really good by the way), not to distract from other, more important, tasks.

2023-07-29 12:53:35 +0000 UTCI really like Domi but it just isn't refined. I know it'll get more Choppy because it was slightly in the small sample. Also, usually, you'd hear more of an "I'm", not I am. It just isn't used in speech as much but I also feel like a slightly lower tone would fix that issue. Don't stress over it much. If you'd rather spend the money to focus more on the game and just use Domi, I'm cool with it but a real VA is what the general people want.

Both for quality and moral reasons I'd rather pay a little extra to hire a real person than to have a robot try to mimic Michelle Ruff. If it becomes too expensive to hire real people I'd rather no voice overs at all.

2023-07-28 16:21:54 +0000 UTCI'm in the camp that for these games, voice overs tend to be more distracting then helpful. I didn't see an option for just no dubbing at all, so chose option 4 as the closest. Preferably maybe just text sounds (i.e. Undertale) instead, or just no sound at all.

2023-07-28 07:25:36 +0000 UTCWhile I get that this might be cheaper and less time consuming, real dubbing will almost always feel better because of AI artifacts in the rendition In any case, the best result between the three Is Domi since the voice and speech feel more natural than the others to me at least
