Have to? No. Elect to do so for some reason? Perhaps. Given at present we only "know" it builds a leyline nexus, I'd argue it isn't needed. But, as it probably has other unspecified possibilities it won't necessarily hurt either.

I mean a dragon who wants to be a builder would have plenty of work on earth. Also he is trying to build bridges, so having someone to connect Nara and Atticus with kirlissa’s people is sort of obvious

They do not have her best interests in mind, so why should she have theirs? I mean, her family might not even fight it if she just left her family name behind. Be VERY interesting if she just appeared on Earth in a few chapters.
