i really like Kirlissa she took a gamble on Elijah on very little evidence and has been supportive the whole way now she sends him into a tournament not to win(that would be great) but to show being a pure dragon doesn't mean you cant get your ass whipped by homeless bum that was given a dragon core

This gives off a marines' arts and crafts project vibes. He's going to keep adapting to his opponents to hard counter them or outlast them with his endurance. Some poor bastard to going to burn an ultimate ability on Elijah just for him to pull a reverse uno card and out heal the damage in shape of spores. All his opponents are going to need major therapy after fighting him.

2026-02-16 17:40:36 +0000 UTCNot sure it's villain so much as recognition that if the dragons ever falter the other elder races and any enemies they've made (Vespirians?) will giddily pounce to consume them. As such as she fears the upcoming generation is weaker than it should be she wants to slap the Empire in the face to remind them that while they ARE dragons... they aren't all-powerful.

Elijah presents something new something life changing. She could affect the growth of all her progeny by showing their weakness cultivating even greater dragons. She can see all possibilities and regardless of the outcome Elijah will change the thoughts of others. If he wins the tournament it may even affect her son

2026-02-16 16:53:44 +0000 UTCHmmm. Kirlissia’s archetype (sorc) -> likely hybrid class (that matches with her attunement) is different than the life she has pushed to Saaralinisa (archetype admin). If I am to venture a guess that speaks to how Kirlissia’s birth and rise was one of tremendous conflict and her making choices (sorc) in order to survive rather than thrive with her attunement. She is probably one of the oldest of the dragon (one of 4 elders + the Emperor) and her claiming the Empire has experienced some sort of decline isnt the fatalistic musings of someone claiming the older generation was better but a brutal comparison of peerage talent of now to generational parallels from every crop of demigods over the last god knows how many millenia (mano was 50k years ago).
