Update

In order to keep my promise to deliver a weekly quality story, I started using an app to read the stories back to me as written. This really helps in the edit process to find errors or typos that my brain filters out while reading on my own. This cuts down on the edit time and allows me to deliver them with as few errors as possible.

I have been wanting for a while to do an audio accompaniment with these stories, and, full disclosure, if "we" like it, I'll add it to future stories at no extra cost to existing members. However, I fully intend to delist current membership subscriptions and make two separate subscriptions. One will be "story only," the other will be slightly more expensive and include the audio accompaniment. To be 100% clear on that, current subscribers will get both story and audio accompaniment at the current subscription price, but *new* members will have to subscribe to one of the new membership options. Hopefully that makes sense.

Someone reached out and pointed out that I didn't say anything about any of this before this week's story dropped, and it came across as though I ripped this week's story from that audio file. It is not the case, and I should've said something. I didn't realize it could come across that way, but now I see it, given how my other posts with visual aids are screenshots from actual conversations.

My deliberate intention was not to draw attention to the audio accompaniment, and see if it was even something anyone actually enjoyed/used. It isn't a perfect AI program, so for me to post an audio accompaniment as an added feature, it requires extra work on my part. Therefore, I don't want to do the work if nobody wants it.

What's the point of this rant?
I wanted to clear up any confusion about the audio accompaniment. I also realized there is no way for me to see if anyone listened to it. There's literally no metric on Patreon to tell you if people clicked on the audio file or just the story. So, here's a survey:

Update to this update: I'm not going to move forward with this audio add-on. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. Which is cool, that's why I polled before going ahead with it, to make sure the effort on my part would be appreciated. Maybe down the line, when the AI is a little better and makes it easier on me, I'll add this, but for now I'm tabling it. Thank you all for the feedback, though!
