VISITOR TIER CLOSED FOR NEW MEMBERS
I'm changing some things around the project. One of them is closing down the Visitor tier due to low interest in it. There are 3 members that are actively subscribed there and they should have access to the AliveCore & AliveUI updates from yesterday and extra animation packs now. I'll send to them also in the next few days gift memberships as a thank you for helping out this project and for trying out the Visitor tier.
CAPTAIN HARDCORE STEAM RELEASE
The Steam release of Captain Hardcore is set to be very soon. Looks like it will happen before the ComeCloser release. AntiZero, the lead developer of CH, wrote recently:
"While we prepare a TON OF CONTENT for the imminent release of Captain Hardcore, We are also happy to announce that we are participating in the Indie NSFW Game Festival 2025!"
This release will be very important for VR adult gaming. It's not about VAM vs others games like some commented about my last post about this. It's about VR adult gaming vs other genres.
You can look at the list of games that participated in Steam's Indie NSFW Game Festival this year: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/36388466/sale/IndieNSFWGameFestival2025
VN, VN, VN, point and click, VN,VN. Now, with all the AI stuff, this trend is set to accelerate. You can make a VN in a weekend. It takes years to make VR sandbox games like CH, Come Closer or VR Hot.
VR is not even a featured category in the Steam festival. It's 2025, it should be. ComeCloser wanted to participate in this festival too but they gave up, they were disappointed to not be able to get the 10 reviews needed to get a rating on Steam. They wrote about this on their discord where they asked people for help, to review their demo if they liked it. People didn't help much. Without a rating, games on Steam are sort of buried, they don't get recommended to players.
I bring up these release because it's usually VAM players who do the most harm to these projects. Take this guy for example:
"This could have been a VaM scene collection. Granted, it's neat that it's built on Unreal instead of Unity.. but idk.. seems like reinventing the wheel from the ground up. I wish the dev(s) luck with the development when/if they get back around to it."
This is one of the reviews to Captain Hardcore Demo, by the specimen the 3I Atlas mothership is likely scouting around for. The devs of these games struggle to get reviews at all. Then vam players come sabotage their games with such reviews. Being familiar with the vam crowd, I know more of these reviews are bound to happen with the upcoming releases too. Which is why I think it's important to help these projects out and counter the harm some people do, by marking these VAM related BS reviews as non-helpful and by leaving good reviews, in case you think these games have potential and you like what they're trying to do. And, ultimately, if you want better VR adult games to be made.
People should compare these games to the rest of the adult gaming scene today, not compare them only to a heavily modded VAM experience imo.
