Inner child reading and healing

This reading will cover 3 Childhood trauma responses, and the cards shown give further advice, understanding and solutions to them.


The 3 Childhood Trauma Responses:


1 Lack of Emotional Regulation ie Social Connection which leads to avoiding emotions / intuition.


2 Lack of Confidence / Self Esteem ie being “too nice” / people pleasing, leading to blowing up or having a meltdown behind closed doors.


3 Lack of Facing Situations Head on ie over-analyzing situations or not having balanced stimulation, which leads to becoming ungrounded.


A simple approach to these problems is to keep a balance on positive thoughts by realizing that not everything is sunshine and rainbows and to keep a balance on negative emotions - depression and fear are a response to a lack of equanimity, not you or the world being “bad”.


Let’s delve into a more detailed approach to these 3 trauma responses above, and see what the cards have to say.


1. Being ignored as a child or teen, not having anyone to talk to/ rely on leads to a Lack of Emotional Regulation. Ways to solve:

The Sun ~ Sing and talk to your Child to regulate their emotions. If you need to ignore them at times in order to get others things done, always come back to them with presence, love, engagement and play.


2. Not speaking your mind or being your authentic self for fear of getting judged or reprimanded, resulting in People Pleasing. Ways to solve:

The Chariot ~ Face your shadow by understanding the choices you’ve made in your life and own them, you most likely followed your heart. This will bring you new found confidence and respect for yourself. Nobody is perfect, but when you have self esteem and self respect, others cannot overstep your boundaries.


3. Without finding the solutions to Overwhelm and Avoidance, one begins over-analyzing situations - which leads to becoming ungrounded and out of touch with reality. Ways to Solve:

The Tower ~ things are changing for you and you must allow something from the past to be let go of. Instead of holding onto what’s not good for you, you can allow yourself to let go and own your choices. By being social / doing something overwhelming or overstimulating, you can allow yourself to have a moment to just breathe and think something through. For example, if someone says or does something that really triggers you, close your eyes and try to hear what it is the person is really saying / trying to do, and then respond. By giving yourself time to think and breathe (and letting the other person know this is what you are doing if needed) you can begin to do things that overwhelm and overestimate you. The time for change is now, avoidance is to be kept in balance.
