BlueLine Flashlight Realism Mod v1.1

Upgrade your in-game flashlights with this mod! It provides custom meta files and new graphics for a truly tactical flashlight look on all pistols including the MK2 Pistol, Carbine Rifle, and all of the TLS AR-15 gun models.

Version 1.1 Update: Check out the new "ALTERNATIVE GRAPHIC RING" folder! It contains a new torch.png, an alternative graphic ring if you're looking for a different visual.

After weeks of dedicated work, I'm thrilled to share my BlueLine Flashlight Realism mod with you! This exclusive video dives deep into the mod, showing you a before and after in-game footage of the default flashlight versus my vastly improved version. You'll instantly see how I've made the flashlight 10 times better, with incredible light projection and unmatched realism.

As a thank you for your support, this Patreon-exclusive video includes the downloadable mod files, including the custom graphic I personally created and the necessary metafiles to instantly upgrade your game. For those that want to watch how to get an addon weapon with flashlight for the TLS AR-15 then watch this here. If you wanted a new model for your Carbine Rifle, watch this video for model replacement here. If you want to increase your pistol fire rate and change your weapon sounds, check out the Glock and Load video here (comes with free weapons skins for the TLS Glock mod.)

IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE STOP THE PED INSTALLED - Navigate to your lspdfr folder and open your lspdfr.ini

Make sure that you have this set to true below, as it helps with the flashlight in the game.

Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride = true

BlueLine Flashlight Realism Mod attached below! For those that wish to paste the code used for the Rifles (Some of you requested this) I attached the meta data for your Rifles that you can paste into your own weaponcomponents.meta if you like.
========================================================================

What's new in version 1.1? - I made an alternative graphic ring to give the flashlight torch ring a better visual to mimic a tactical flashlight. You will find the new torch.png inside your FLASHLIGHT GRAPHIC RING folder included in download. To learn how to install the new graphic ring go to timestamp 3:00 of the video above.

NOTE: You do not need to update your meta files with this version 1.1 - only contains the new graphic ring.

BlueLine Flashlight Realism Mod v1.1

Comments

I am coming out with a small update this week for this mod that will help a bit. Problem is, the beam of the flashlight is not dynamic. Meaning the new update will be great for a target that is 25 feet in front of you, but targets that exceed that distance, the beam can't adjust as mentioned it is not dynamic enough and change with your distance to target. I have been using it lately and it helps. Look for this update to hit later this week. But as mentioned it will never be 100% due to limitations imposed by Rockstar.

HOW TO WE ALIGN THE LIGHT WITH THE SCOPE

kasi

To get it precisely on crosshairs is a huge challenge. The flashlight ring itself changes depending on camera angle, and perspective to the target (Is player close or further away from target). However, I am coming out with another variation to the torch file (graphic ring) of the flashlight that is projected against targets. It would be meant for 3rd person aiming. It will be about as close as you can achieve without distorting the flashlight ring itself. I have already tested it and it works fairly well for the most part. This works a lot better if the target is approximately 10 to 20 feet from the player. However, due to graphic limitations, it would be impossible to keep that beam of light on path with a crosshair dead center from targets that is 50-80 feet away. For that to happen, there would have to be a mod built into the game that can detect target zone reference. Personally I hide my reticule as it feel more realistic and hardly noticeable if my shot is slightly off from flashlight ring. Please Note: I have not tested the Flashlight Realism with ViewPointV (script that I reviewed over on YouTube) so I am unsure of what outcome the flashlight would have for the player. Might be interesting though :) I will come out with this update over the weekend.

BlueLine Vibes

Hello, I installed the mod and it looks absolutely beautiful but can you help me fix the offset problem with the flashlight? It points little bit up and right how can I make it appear on crosshair. Thank you

MuhoS

I didn't get the call sign post until you closed it already. Otherwise I would have responded Mike. Working and such.

B9Bot 1

I think the cars were from Ripple's Valor pack. Sorry, I forget where I got that livery from.

BlueLine Vibes

Where did you get the cars from?

WronaGamer

Good deal, can you reply back with how you fixed it by chance? I get this type of question asked frequently and wanted to see how you fixed it.

BlueLine Vibes

Hey i got a question my grammar police is really quiet when she responds i was wondering if you got any fix for that thx (nvm i got it to work)

Lukas

You want just the config? Or do you want the full en-GENERIC folder. If it's the entire folder, I shared that on the Grammar Police tips video and it's also on the discord. If you are seeking the phrases that I have installed, paste the URL below into your browser. Patron will not allow me to post a link unfortunately. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bcmgV4DzLAwn_8dXj0bebH5n4JBQtiQ5/view?usp=sharing

BlueLine Vibes

Can you share the custom folder in the grammar police folder you use ini file?

BlueLine Vibes

Did we not discuss this in discord?

BlueLine Vibes

The mod looks amazing but for some reason the offsets are not aligned for me, especially for the rifle. Any fix for this?

abstractRohan

Love the mod no longer getting stabbed in a dark building due to a bad flashlight great mod

Alyssa Bella

I wonder why it is not working for you. I am about to come out with a new DLC Addon Car Pack for Step by Step and Advanced users. I will be mentioning the Spotlight mod. I installed it yesterday to confirm it still works. I have zero issues with it, even with an addon vehicle.

BlueLine Vibes

This is amazing, now we just need someone to make a spot light mod because the one everyone has been using for years no longer works in my game no matter what i do. Good Job Sir ty

GTA FANATIC

Thanks John

BlueLine Vibes

This is awesome BLV I most definitely putting his in my game thank you for what you do see you in the next one

Speedy

I not only like it Mike but I also like to say thank you for the updated mod.

B9Bot 1

Good question. Is it the same weaponscomponents.meta file as the original? Or did you paste the code for your TLS AR-15 into the carbine rifle part of the weaponscomponent.meta? Hope that makes sense. I can attach a text file above that just has the code if you want to add it in in yourself if you like. EDIT: If you need the meta data only for the AR-15 - I attached the Riflecode above

BlueLine Vibes

Sure, do you need the flashlight fix for the AR-15?

BlueLine Vibes

Do you have Stop The Ped Installed? You would change it under your Realistic Weapon System This is an example for my MK2 in Stop The Ped Config under RealisticWeaponSystem // Set your handgun weapon name and it's components. Components parameter can be more than one (comma delimited). HandgunWeaponName=WEAPON_PISTOL_MK2 HandgunWeaponComponents=COMPONENT_AT_PI_FLSH_02,COMPONENT_AT_PI_RAIL,COMPONENT_AT_PI_COMP

BlueLine Vibes

Yep, it's compatible! You'll find the details on that throughout the video.

BlueLine Vibes

Thanks for watching! It's great you're already so familiar with the mod. In this video, I specifically focused on the new metafile construction and the custom flashlight graphic I made for Patreon members, so hopefully that part was useful for those looking for those specifics!

BlueLine Vibes

Thank You Very Much Mike Very excited to try this out

Bulletbill88

Great vid, but I knew all of this already.

WillaimThe_ThirdAdolf

Will it work for the TLS ads on Glock

Skylar King

How do you set the mk2 pistol as your main duty weapon in lspdfr?

Montel Beatty

EasTexBull

as always, you spoil us Mike! Thanks a lot man! 13:05 would you please supply the lines for us to paste since some have already made some changes to their meta files. Thanks again!

UpperMidnight

Question I have the TLS AR-15 installed but I used it as a replacement for the carbine not an addon. Can I still just drag and drop it into weapon meta?

Fivoll

I see what you did there :) Thanks

BlueLine Vibes

Such a “bright” idea!! Looks great!

BearScoop

Absolutely a must have

L1ghtning200
