This primarily works 100% on Steam. However, I have been told that this method still works for Epic Games as well. If you are on Epic Games you may not have the steam_api64 file. If you don't see it, you can more than likely skip that part of the video.
Retail users that have to launch with the Rage Launcher - This method will more than likely not work for you. Sorry about that, this has been an issue for years if you bought it that way.
If you do not backup your game files, you will need to wait until Script Hook, LSPDFR and RageHook all update. It can be as little as 48 hours to 2 weeks until all of these update. Average time is about 3-5 days. Good luck!

However, I do suggest that you follow the instructions of this video still and store those files mentioned on this video away in a zip file. You will thank me later when another update hits in a month or so.

2025-01-19 00:05:07 +0000 UTCThe mods that you find will work just fine. GTA 5 updates do not affect plugins and other mods that are used for LSPDFR. The only things that need to update is LSPDFR, RageHook and Script Hook V. I have never seen a plugin used like Deadly Weapons, Grammar Police, Ultimate Backup, Stop the Ped for example ever break due to an update over the past 10 years. Ultimate Backup still works fine on old versions of GTA and also the new versions of GTA. Your Deadly weapon mod crashing may be a result of another dependency perhaps.
