HELLO and welcome to another issue of Akabur Gazette! We have a lot to unpack today, so let’s get to it! ^_^

FIRST THINGS FIRST. Take a look at the picture above, cut out of an old TMNT comic of mine. All you need to do is look at it for a few seconds. That’s it. Take a good look and just save it in your mind for now. Moving on.

RG34XXSP. I am still waiting for my console to be delivered… It’s taking a while. The one I ended up sending back was ordered from AliExpress, so it got to me rather quickly. This one was ordered from the official Anbernic website, and I guess they use a different delivery method… or it could be because it’s the holiday season. In any case, all I can do for now is continue to wait… (and hope that when it finally gets here, it will work as intended) -_-

THE SHOP. I uploaded another one of my old illustrations to the shop. It's another Parry Hotter themed one. Go check it out! This time around, I was able to include in the pack not only the PSD file, but also both ink and pencil scans. ^_^

TRUE STORY. The little AI comic above was sent to me by the one, the only, the greatest ever: MrLazare. I thought it was way too awesome not to share it with all of you. If you’re interested in the original high-definition version, you can find it attached to this post

REMEMBER THAT PICTURE that I showed you several lines of text ago? Well, here is a live-action version of it. Yes, I know it’s AI slop, but I thought it looked cool. This one was also shared by MrLazare, so you will find the high-resolution version of it attached to this post as well.

SPEAKING OF AI SLOP! I have quite a few more to share with you. I can’t do it in a public post, though, because some of the pictures contain a nipple (sometimes two), and my account was once suspended for showing half a nipple (this is not a joke — Patreon takes nipples seriously). Originally, these pictures were shared on my Discord server by a user named BOGODUH. It feels a bit odd to lock somebody else’s AI slop behind a paywall, so I just want to say that you can find all of these pictures for free on my Discord, in the “ai-n-stuff” channel.

LONG STORY SHORT: I have finally fixed my laptop! And I did it all by myself too. Whoo-hoo! That being said, not everything went smoothly. After I replaced the cooling fans and turned my computation machine on again, I heard the same rattling sound. Wait what? 0_0 Let me tell you, that was an interesting moment. Before critical thinking kicked in, I experienced a whole range of emotions — starting with tears of defeat and ending with an all-consuming desire to put my fist through a wall.

BUT THEN I thought to myself: there is no way that brand-new cooling fans would be making exactly the same sound. And after a closer inspection, I realized that the sound was actually coming from a different place — the speakers. I took the back lid off again, and sure enough, one of the speakers was heavily damaged. I don’t know how it happened; maybe it just deteriorated over time or something, but I had no idea that laptop speakers could produce a sound like that when damaged. Anyway, ChatGPT said it should be totally fine to just disconnect the speakers from the board and remove them entirely, which I promptly did.

EPILOGUE. Even though the source of the rattling sound turned out to be the speakers, my 7-year-old laptop now has new cooling fans. New speakers would set me back at least $80, depending on the brand, so I decided to leave things as they are for now. I use headphones about 90% of the time anyway. I also thought about getting a pair of old-school wired PC speakers (the kind that predict cellphone calls), but then I remembered that my wonderful Rienok not only has an AUX jack, but even came with the connecting cable. I tested it, and it works perfectly. All in all, the whole laptop drama has finally come to an end. I won’t be buying a new one and will just continue using the one I have right now (with its wonderful new cooling fans and freshly replaced thermal paste). Life is good ^_^

A BIT OF BAD NEWS, THOUGH. Well, bad for me. I spotted a crack on my Retroid Pocket 4’s outer shell. I’ve had this thing for more than a year now, and I use it daily to play Snowbreak and all of my PSP games. I even beat Stella Glow (3DS) on it twice. I take good care of it, so it still basically looks brand new — the screen is spotless and all the controls work perfectly fine. I’m not sure what the deal is with this crack, but hopefully it won’t grow. And if it does, I guess I’ll just watch a couple of teardown videos and order a new shell online. After the crap I had to deal with while taking apart my laptop, this should be easy enough. Still, this sucks a little. :(

NEWS FROM THE SNOWPEAK. (Also known as “the news nobody cares about!” XD) I finished Mia’s personal file story, and it was as cute as I hoped it would be. We went to see her old school, she called me “senpai,” and it was quite magical, really. And it ended with a cute CG of us taking a selfie together. Good stuff. #^_^#

WHAT? YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE? I also finished furnishing her room. Now I finally feel at peace. All is good in the world again. ^_^

AS FOR THE WORK, everything is going according to plan for now. I will throw in a couple more WIP previews in this week’s EXTRA!! post, so make sure to take a look at those as well. To sum it up, I’m continuing to work on the Skatergirl’s events, and everything is progressing steadily.
AND THAT IS ALL for today’s issue of the Akabur Gazette. Make sure to check out our next issue, which will be released next Monday as usual. Thank you for your support, bros. Laterz.
