396 - To Steam Or Not To Steam?

HELLO there, dear bros! How’s it going? I hope you’re doing alright. Over the week I heard that the new Metal Gear Solid remaster is getting censored, along with another Trails in the Sky remaster. To tell you the truth, I don’t even remember the last time a game got remastered without the news being followed by some content getting cut. Thinking about this sort of stuff really gets me down sometimes—but then I remember that I don’t even own any modern game consoles anymore, and I feel much better. XD

SHOP. I did it! I uploaded The Market MEGAPACK to the shop! I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now. All the comic pages files, plus all the WIPs and extra stuff, have been neatly organized for your viewing pleasure. Go check it out!

GAMES! I am actually playing multiple games at the moment: GTA:LCS (PSP), MGS: PEACEWALKER (PSP) and Ar Tonelico (PS2). Having a blast with all three of them at once! This is a retro games harem! XD

STEAM. I’m considering putting a test game on Steam. I don’t want to get too invested in this idea—just want to test the waters. For that purpose, I decided to repack a Sim-Room story from SC34 into its own game. It’s called Princess Quest—a short parody story with 3 endings. Do you remember playing this one?

PQ GOLD EDITION! I’m not just ripping it out of SC34 and calling it a day—I’m updating backgrounds and even rewriting a small scene that originally involved Hermione. In the original game, this scene didn’t have a character sprite for Hermione because I didn’t have time to draw a fantasy barmaid outfit for her (some of you lamented that fact back in the day). So I decided to use this opportunity to give the Hermione scene proper art assets.

THAT BEING SAID. While I was working on the illustration for the scene, a realization hit me: using Hermione as the barmaid makes zero sense when I already have a proper fantasy barmaid character—Iris. As a result, I scrapped all the Hermione stuff in favor of Iris. Which is a shame, considering I had a perfect parody name for her: Hermoany! XD
