So many foolish things happen in the world from day today... Usually I have the energy to just ignore it, but today I feel like after finishing writing this post I will be shutting down both my PC and my phone and will try reading a book or something. The modern world is just too much sometimes...
THE SHOP. Patreon had made changes to how things work on the site again. From what I understand, items that I add to the shop now get posted as paid posts and also get added to the shop. I don't like this to be honest. Keeping shop items and regular posts separate worked much better. But I am nobody and my opinions mean nothing. I should be happy they didn't kick NSFW artists from the site yet.
THE FULISHENSS. Last week I lamented Steam getting pressured into tightening the screws yet again, and a couple days later ITCH.io made an announcement about nuking a lot of NSFW games. From what I heard even people who paid for the games can't access them anymore. My games are still on the site for now, but for how much longer? All these news made me wonder what would happen to me if Patreon decided to crack down on NSFW creators. Oh, and let's not forget about fun things taking place in UK at the moment. Mark my words, this internet ID idea will spread to other countries as well. This is all so exhausting...
THE WORK. At the beginning of the week I have finished coloring bootleg Case Jones sprite and the rest of my work days I spent writing and coding. Nothing to report really, doing a lot or busy work. But at the same time it is nice to see the game starting to take shape. ^^

2025-07-30 09:31:31 +0000 UTCll I can say is, call your payment processors and banks and take as much time as possible (this is the solution). I've been calling everyday. The reason phone call complaints are effective with these payment processor companies is because it takes up valuable time that the company could be otherwise dealing with other issues. Phone support is expensive and slow, which makes it an ideal pressure point A large public outcry is what causes companies to pay attention and consider backtracking. Make a script about why this is bad (payment processor companies shouldn't be censoring legal material because they personally think it's immoral and it's an attack on free speech - you can ask AI to create a script for you if you don't have to time to write a long message) then call VISA/MasterCard/STRIPE/Paypal, you'll be on hold for a while because everyone is calling, and say you'd like to lodge a complaint. Then when they ask what this is in regards to, just start reading your script. Sometimes the rep will try to cut you off once they find out what the complaint is about, but just ask whether or not phone call complaints are reported, if they say yes, then say you want your call to be reported and heard and then read your script. If they say no, that's really weird and just keep insisting and eventually they will try to transfer you to a supervisor or something. The longer the message the better since that's the point. We essentially have to keep this up for the next few weeks if we want something to happen. We don’t need to be aggressive - just persistent.
