361 - What's next...?

HELLO THERE dear bros. How is everyone doing? Today is the 30th of December. Year 2024 is almost over, which means, year 2000 was almost 25 years ago. Really makes you think... 0_0

YAHOO! Anyhow, Yahoo just deleted all my emails. We are talking about 20 years worth of letters. That inbox contained all sorts of things, love letters from my teenage years, nudes from the very few fangirls I used to have back in the day... In other words extremely sentimental and absolutely irreplaceable stuff. And now it's all gone. All of it. My email address is still working, but they decided to permanently delete all my letters because I did not log in for a few months. Unbelievable. I constantly rumble on about how you don't really own any of your digital stuff unless it's stored on an offline HHD, and yet somehow I always though that my Yahoo inbox was and exception, and it will continue to exist forever. Well, another lesson learned I suppose. Crap... I say that, but even as I type these words I still can't believe all those letters are gone now. Just like that, years of my personal history has disappeared into thin air...

THE AKABUR SHOP. Quite a few people has asked me for an option to purchase the game directly without having to subscribe to my Patreon. Technically you can always do it through my itch.io account, but their requests (along with some nudges from Mr.Lazare) prompted me to look into Patreon's shop feature. I put three items there for sale. The neat thing is that it can also be used as a gallery by the subscribers, meaning that people with Supporter PLUS tier and higher will have access to the content being sold there. If all goes well I plan to continue to add my old work there from week to week.

WT DIORAMA! Mr.Lazare sent me his Witch Trainer diorama as a Christmas present. Just like he said before, the pictures don't do this thing justice. It's absolutely glorious in person. You are allowed to feel jealous of me now XD

HALF AN HOUR OF SNOW IN AGRABAH. I uploaded a snowy Agrabah loop to YouTube along with some copyright-free music. Merry Christmas!!!

WHAT'S NEXT? I have received a few more bug reports over the week. Nothing too serious but still bugs that needed fixing. I think I will wait for another week and update Queen Trainer to version 1.05 and it will be the last one for now. I know taking a break for a bit would be the right thing to do, but for now I decided to stay in a working mode for a while longer. Last few weeks I have been doing some low-key planning but nothing concrete have been decided yet.

A "GAME" GAME. Queen Trainer was my most "gamey" game yet. I have put a lot of effort into making it feel as a proper game and not a visual novel. I am glad I did, but now that I got that out of my system, I want to keep things a bit simpler in the future, at least until I decide to bite the bullet and hire a couple of guys to work under me.

ANYWAY, I think since I don't have anything concrete to say, I should not say anything at all. The main takeaway should be that I decided not to go on a break just yet and am working on my next project already. And that is all really.
