AOT CD Keychains - MAKING OF 🥳✏️
Added 2025-06-20 16:08:26 +0000 UTCMy work while this last week for this project made me to live lot of adventures, it asked an huge energy and focussing to be able to send the end result in time to the manu, ( to have a tiny hope to receive them in time for Japan Expo anyway ) ! But, as often in the difficulties and stress, I have the feeling this allows me to go out of my comfort zone, I learnt a lot, discovering new interesting artistic paths ( I discovered the power of the classical G pen brush of CSP ! 🤯 ) . Despite the stress due to the deadline, I’m surprised about how much I had looot of fun and I felt inspired to create these CD ! I will keep a great memory of this project for sure ! 🥹❤️
Before to have the joy to introduced you the end designs with all the parts and backgrounds reunited, I thought it would be even more interesting to make a making of when I realised the quantity of new drawings I did for this haha ! Here are my B&W/color versions for the biggest part of characters, and titles searches … I just keep the backgrounds secret for the reveal ! 🙈
As you can see, I chose a « simple » coloring, almost not shading, to keep a readability due to the fact the end product height will be around of 6,5/7 cm. this pushed me to practice this kind of rendering I wasn’t used to create before, and I think I’m really suprised and satisfied about this ! It motives me a lot to try other stuffs like this at the future !
Oh and ! ….great new, I managed to send the final rendering this last Wednesday, and I had the joy this morning (Friday) to already approve the beginning of the production with the manu !!! 🥳 So, It’s maybe allowed to still hope for Japex !!! 😳

Hahaha I admit I’m sorry for this never ending teasing ! 😭🥴 I realised the quantity of drawings was huge and i thought it would be nice to take the time to enjoy them as simple illustrations too, out of their end compositions for the CD ! 🥰 thanks for your compliments who are really rewarding ! 🙏🏻 I think this project probably will bring me more confidence in myself at the future, to be honest I was myself really surprised about how much, despite the stress of the deadline, I kept calm, I enjoyed a lot the process and i got able to draw a lot ! I’ll keep great memories about this project, and it’s nice you’re able to notice all of these too ! ❤️
