I love this series and what you are trying to do! I totally agree with your design philosophy, to hold onto the story of the organ. That's what makes it so very unique. Thanks for all these videos. I am looking forward to seeing your progress, and I am expecting a great success! I also love how you put in lights! This kind of installation cries out for lights, doesn't it? YouTube has many "pizza shop theater organ" performances, and their lights are a big part of the show!

Cool stuff, I agree that leaving the console as it is, is the better option. It's not an utterly beautiful instrument, but the whole story of being in someones house, and you salvaging and restoring it (which is very impressive of course!) is the thing, I think that even restoring the console is a nice part of that, you're doing a really good job there! Putting the blower and magazines in a different room is very common and makes sense, good idea!
Did you ask Fraser Gartshore? He's a Scottish organist that lives in Germany, he might be interested to try it out. I'll try to come by when it is finished to play some jazz on that thing ;-)
