Added 2025-11-19 01:14:09 +0000 UTCi am just getting started working on a video essay about bad bunny, working title "bad bunny and the puerto rican struggle." it started as a project about colonialism in puerto rico and that is ultimately what the video will focus on, as well as other discourses about latin american identity, history, politics and society. it'll also be a chance for me to do music journalism again and go over bad bunny's discography, with his records mapping onto particular issues (x100PRE and the rise of musica urbana as well as bad bunny's run-in against disgraced governor ricardo rossello, etc.) at times it'll be positive about him and his legacy, at times it'll be negative. but i think it's going to be a really important project, the most important thing i've done so far, and a lot of fun to boot. give me a couple months!
