new video soon: hiding greta
Added 2025-04-28 14:41:54 +0000 UTChello everyone! my next video, out before the end of april, is about the hiding of greta thunberg--specifically, the way media went from perpetuating her as a savior figure (with gen z as a savior generation) and then became awfully quiet as her activism became more and more anti-capitalist and savvy of the rhetoric used by the UN and other international organizations to co-opt youth climate movements. we will be talking about the disasters of widely praised obama-era climate 'safeguards,' the emergency intercom podcast scandal (in which they said 'greta fell off'), anti-intellectualism, and more. here are some screenshots: can't wait to show you all this one! danae is hard at work finishing the edit for it and we are just getting the sponsorship confirmed. thanks again for all your support :)

Fuel efficiency is my first concern when looking at cars and it's been so hard to find something affordable and not huge footprint over 25 MPG (commuter in rural place here). I was expecting to learn something, but not to get a fact from Elliot that hit that close to home. Thanks Elliot

2025-04-30 15:00:53 +0000 UTCI'm looking forward to this one. Things have been so quiet I didn't even know Greta had shifted in understanding, I thought she just went back to being a regular kid. Also I saw news that children had sued the government of Montana because of poor environmental regulation, on the basis of the loss of future time from climate catastrophe, and it just reminded me of the expectation on children to save us all. Feels like expecting Shinji to jump inside the EVA, even though I'm a whole grown ass adult.
