Scythe Stuff

This is not my Halloween costume. This is just something else I'm messing with. I'm working on a SoulsBorne-esque style costume. This was a scythe I made years ago that I'm updating.
The base was made from two separate scythes from a Halloween store that I cut up and put together, including making that extra branch that extends from the back. Sadly, that original lantern I painted for it broke.
For the weathering, I used watered-down black paint to add some darkness to it. The wrappings are bandages dyed with tea and the black paint and water mixture, black yarn, and leather cords. I'll definitely add more details. I haven't decided if I want to do one lantern or two...
The headpiece is next! I have cool ideas for that part, too. The overall costume is gonna be sort of wispy/gauzey looking, maybe with some armor pieces.

It's coming along so nicely and I love the lanterns in particular. Sorry to hear that the one broke though. It always sucks to have to start over because of circumstance
