‘tuning the inner ecosystems’
Added 2024-12-05 14:48:03 +0000 UTCthe yogi entered me last night
this body accepts him
enveloped by a shawl of attunment
*
we perform the rituals
the inner purifications
looking into this being,
*
i cry, wondering who he is
it is interesting
that physical union does not feel
too different than time we’ve shared
in its absence
*
still, i love it
still, this body is a flame at night
still, the dark room seems to be ablaze
*
morning comes
i make the bed and
light candles at the altar —
he bathes in icy waters
herbs billow in the air
between us
*
who is this yogi?
*
at the café
the red-haired barista tells me
about entomology
homeostasis of ecosystem
*
she is passionate
about the insects
and will teach a donation based class
to educate those who wish to Know
*
a few sips into the coffee she tells me
softly, frantically, “i forgot the cinnamon!”
*
there is no time like now, i tell her and i think of rituals and attunment and breathing in union, rising and falling
*
the rising and falling
*
i was so worried
about the cinnamon,
the barista tells me
*
i laugh
i am
in love with her
and the yogi
and anyone whose eyes
i look into for a while
