At this point my friend the longer you waver in what to do about this the more you are hurting yourself. I think it is best to either release 13 as it is or follow it up with 14 as soon as it is ready. of just let it go. I don't like to say this because this is one of my favorite AVNs. I was also looking very much forward to where the story might go but it is getting hard not to become frustrated as a fan of your content. The update is still coming but it will not be ready at 3. This is not a content issue, nothing is being altered. I am happy with the update. (Also, this update is now around the 1000 render range as we decided to use the longer version of one of the scenes.) I called you out then saying you're lying and don't have your content done or you wouldn't be losing sub fans when you could just prove you were being honest. And now you admit you were not honest, you did not release on the 4th release date, or 5th or 6th? i think. You aren't happy with the update and they're not done, they are being altered. Althought creating new content that wasn't ever done isn't really alteration I suppose. As what things resolve? You finally doing your job you've been claiming for a year you've been doing, but you havn't done hardly anything in that time. Grandma's House puts out more content in 3 weeks than you did all year long. And does every single month 1k+ renders, 1-2 times a month. It can be par for the course, but some really good games with 1 game producer put out 1k+ render updates every single month, sometimes twice in a month. So 300 renders over 8 months is ludicrous. If the 2 month wait is for less than 1k-1500 renders, then meh ya he's not working on it like a fulltime job. But at this point, he's not working at all.

I don't think there's a person in here that cares about waiting months between updates, im sure most if not all of us play at least 1 other game where the updates only come once or twice a year but you're exactly correct on everything you just said! If he hadn't promised these updates time and time again then failing to deliver nothing but another poor excuse I don't think many would even be mad at him. I've been a backer since 2020. Or was. I can't, in good conscience, continue supporting BD with no indication that there's any progress. I don't actually mind waiting months between updates, it's par for the course, I do have a big problem being mislead. I'm getting whiplash from the changing excuses, and I'm really just waiting for "the dog ate my renders" to finish my bingo card. If I still trusted that BD was actively working, I'd still be pledging, but the excuses just don't give me that confidence. At this point, unless I see receipts I have to assume that development has stopped. I was able to stick around through some bad times in the past but the confidence just isn't there anymore. I'm done. I'd love to have a reason to pledge again, but BD has a lot of work to build that trust again, if he even can, and right now I'm afraid he's not on that track at all.

But for the last 7_8 months we've all been told multiple times each month either 13 or 14 or both are ready to go and be released and every time not one or two or even three but every time on or near release date there is something that prevents him from releasing it and then after all this time with all the excuses why it wasnt able to be released we find out the truth its not up to his liking he could have prevented all this drama and headache's by telling us all months ago the truth. so people are just fed up with the excuses and want to see results and are letting him know one way or another

So, I'm still dealing with life stuff, things are starting to settle but I'm still getting everything stable. I'm also dealing with a sinus infection. Nothing crazy though, I'm still getting as much work in as I can. Though, I'm still not sure exactly what my plan is to be honest. Right now I'm still revising the dialogue in E13 and we're also working on finalizing Day 37 (First half of E14) with Day 38 to follow behind it. Right now I believe we're going to finish up Day 37 and then send it to testers alongside the rest of Day 36. After I get the dialogue in E13 to a decent enough point I may just throw it up also, nothing is set in stone right now. Pledges will remain paused until all the things are out. More info soon.

I am the bad guy in this situation and I have a long way to go to prove I'm a dev worthy of the support he receives. My actions have led to a lot of frustration and anger and I understand that and I agree that I have not done nearly enough to warrant the continued support. I appreciate everyone who has been holding me accountable. I've put a ton of work into the game, a lot of work that you guys will never see because of how many times I've remade certain scenes. I used this fact to justify myself but things have gone on for way too long. I'm just a young man trying to make the most fun game he can. I've gone through a lot of changes in my life as of late and working on the game to distract myself or just to dump myself into has been a huge blessing but it's also been a curse. While the update has no tie ins to my real life, I used working on the game to get away from real life for a bit. Things and feelings that are hard to say goodbye to. On top of that I did a lot of new things and techniques for this update and I've second guessed myself every step of the way. I have a responsibility to deliver something for you guys and I've routinely failed at doing so. I may have gone through a lot and my life may have gone through many changes but none of it excuses me taking this long. And just working on the game isn't enough. The work doesn't mean anything if it never gets seen. I have to do better and I'm very sorry that it's taken me this long to see past myself. My mental is pretty fucked. Being the bad guy isn't fun, I don't want to be this. Having people I respect call me a scammer and milker, having people I've known for 3 years turn on me and ridicule me. Reading many comments everyday about how horrible of a person I am. I'm scared of this update. I'm scared I took this much time to make something that isn't very good and that's the scariest fucking thing. I've dealt with imposter syndrome for the entirety of making WVM and I've never felt it to this degree. Trying to deliver something good quickly has really fucked me. It sucks having so many people yell at you when you feel like you're trying to do the right thing but also agreeing with the criticism. My brain has been pulling me in 80 different ways for a long fucking time and I feel pretty out of it from it. I fully understand why everyone is so frustrated. It's one thing for me to need as much time as I have, but it's another when I constantly give expectations of a release soon only to then go behind on that. It's reached a point where I have to just shut my brain off and let it be whatever it's going to be. No more hiding, you guys deserve better. I'm pretty ashamed of my recent past but there's no changing it now. I can only control the future and we have a plan. At this point, the best thing to do would be to just release E13, whether you think it's good enough or not. Even if some people are disappointed with the content (or lack of story), that's still way better than the eternal postponing and broken promises. Just release it and then process the feedback. If the feedback is what you fear, you can always revisit and rework when things are back on track. Or just accept that it might not be the best episode and try to learn from what went wrong to do better in future episodes. A lot of people are frustrated and fed up and i really don't blame them. BD needs to get out of his own head. I understand being a perfectionist and to some extend, it's a trait that can help you improve but it can also be destructive, as evident here, if it makes you constantly doubt your own work and never be satisfied. If the update is already really big and you're still not happy with big parts of it, i don't think any amount of redoing scenes will make you satisfied. It might be time to just accept that it is what it is and release it, so you can move on with it. There's the expression "Leave them wanting more" but at this point, people are dying of starvation while a drone with a pizzaslice attached is flying by on occasion. Can't expect people to keep hoping, they will eventually start throwing rocks at the drone and the rocks are flying already.

The thing is, if BD releases EP13 soon he has a chance to get at least half of the people that are ready to give up back on board. If he doesn't release something soon I fear the worst for him and the game. NO ONE cares if there is 5,6 or 7 month between updates, the dishonesty comes from the fact that the rest Ep13 update was meant to be out in Feb, and every time a release date was given we were meant to believe everything was fine up to the release day then all of sudden something went wrong with a poorly explained excuse (if any) was given and when people asked for more detail...silence, for like 2 weeks until he "worked" on it enough that he was ready to release again and the cycle would start again, 7 months on we are still in the same place, time and time again we are telling him not to give dates just release when it is done but never learns despite saying he is, which Is why people are questioning if he was ever done, and he has been stringing us along for 7 months. He earns enough money from this game that he could invest in a small team to work on this, why doesn't he? Because he can't give up the control, he said a few weeks ago the he will give up release control to one of the people he did bring on sating it will be out of his hands and whatever shape of the update is in...tough, spoilers, that didn't happen, this is another example of the dishonesty. It'll be out end of August, another example, saying if said update isn't out by aug he will pause pledges till 2025, backtracked on that, another example, I've been herefor over a year and I can only recall a handful of times he has paused pledges, and it's been since Feb. He states that he can't release because the story isn't there it's all porn, basically. Out of all the developers I follow or support on Patreon, Itch.io, or subscribestar, 24 are or just were between 7 months to a year or more between releases with another 5 getting really close to your 7 month benchmark. Out of theses, only a handful have a more complex set of options as the game advances. As to the "dishonesty", I guess you've never had things go wrong in your life that effects or delays other things. If WVM was still taking our money the whole time that would be one thing and I would be in complete support of your position. Unfortunately that's not the case here, WVM suspends charges all the time. I get it. You want to make something flawless and absolutly perfect. But there is no such thing. Sometime you just have to take the bull by the horn and say Fuck it and just run with it. The game also doesnt need to be day by day hour by hour. You can skip days. Its harder when you have a game thats driven by a season of sports i get that but there is also nothing natural about this story. No star has this kind of harem where he cares about everyone and everyone worships the ground he walks on. So remember its a god damn game nothing more. If its not perfect that is more than ok. And like some other devs. have done you can always reshape the story a little bit later on to fit your idea. But most importantly is that you need to KNOW what your story is and not get sidetracked by adding a ton of new girls to bang. You dont have to add 5 new girls every update. WVM hey the fact that all of us don't feel heard is the problem. You say it does not feel fluid or natural that is fine you feel that way, but look we are not looking at this the same way you are. You are putting your time and energy to create some and you want it to be as close to perfect as you pictured it. I been in Customer service for well over a decade and I have first hand knowledge the way you are handling this issue is wrong. You are making your customers more upset with how you are doing things. First you need to start doing weekly updates on what you have done what still needs to be done your goal for the UPDATE. and any issues you are seeing or things that happen in your real world. Second you need to hear what you customers are saying. everyone on this post just wants you to send something to show that this is moving forward. Third you need to reach out to other creators and build a network for help and answers I mean people that have shown their backers that they got this. I have seen a few people throwing out Being a DIK and comparing yours to Dr Pink Cake stuff. and that should be a honor to you cuz his story and game play is fire. ( and I am pretty sure he still does it all by himself)

I did an awful job explaining the actual issues. It's not the porn, it's a porn game, there being porn isn't an issue. There's too much of it in ratio to everything else but that's not the main issue. It's the lack of meaningful progression with anything, it's the lack of time passing, it's the disconnect I feel in the Daliah and somewhat in the Jasmine scene. Things just do not feel fluid or natural. Everything feels robotic and it is all greatly exacerbated by the porn scenes because they take up so much time in the update that those issues with the more involved scenes are much more glaring. I feel good about the renders, that's not an issue at all at this point. I'm going to stick to releasing up to the end of the Daliah scene first and then the rest of E13 after. Then scene by scene for E14 and beyond. I am mentally gone at the moment, everything is blowing up irl and with the dev side of things. I know things are getting worse, I'm not sure when the first release will happen. I am tweaking some of the dialogue but I have to get some sleep. I'm not going to go too far with it. This is all on me, I'm not trying to make any excuses, all of the frustration you guys have shared is valid, pledges are paused and will remain paused until all of E14 is out. All content for the rest of the year will be released to all former patrons. I know I'm losing a lot of you right now, I understand completely. I have fucked up way too much.

Honestly what strikes me crazy is that you don't care about these hundreds of fans complaining and telling you their legitimate frustrations. You don't even bother answering them honestly. i have supported you for a great while and love the work you have released, just get ep13 out, the true fans will love it then move on to 14 with the right mindset, knowing were you made mistakes from ep13, but also dont be so hard on yourself for wanting perfection in an update, you probably wont get it so step back, take a deep breath, release ep13 and move on with a new mindset

Absolutely agree! Release E13 just so you can get past it and if you really don't like it, take it on the chin and move on. E14 sounds like it's going where you want it so keep chugging on you'll get through it just fine.

Just for me, I honestly like the sound of update & would be interested in playing through it. You have all the time in the world to change it up however you feel is better down the line. Releasing it also would help quell some of the more frustrated people. I get feeling unsatisfied though, take care!

The update doesn't sound that bad just some pacing problems that most of which you made optional anyway I like the way you render sex scenes so one sex heavy update won't make or break the game. Just get back on your track in Ep 14 and all is fine. We won't be upset with a sex heavy update in an AVN. Just take a deep breath and let the update out and move on.

May I simply suggest that you let E13 out. It could well placate most of your fans. Those who aren't may be OK after E14. So, you might have solved 95% of your problem. OK, so you won't be happy but a rest may let you sort it out some time in the future. For now, it seems like you need to release yourself from this hang-up.

With the existence of the rework of Season 1, I would suggest that it might help if you start viewing the current content as the "first draft" of Season 2. It doesn't have to be perfect yet because there's elements of the rework that will necessitate alterations to Season 2 anyway. My suggestion would be to release E13 and E14 in a "good enough" state for now. After that, it sounds like the rework needs to take priority so that the necessary alterations to S2 don't become unmanageable.

IMHO I think as long as it's not buggy, you release it as is. If you're not overly happy with it, then you can change it up for a 'Director's Cut' version once you have the time.

This has just been one lie after another, this update has never been ready to release, and instead of saying it as it is he makes lies and false promises like giving up control to release an update earlier this month or the big on from a previous post saying he will pause pledges till 2025, knowing very well it's not happening, and again just yesterday stating it will be out before September, not even 24 hours removed from that post he has gone back on his word again, going from a smaller update to no update, it is beyond a joke. It's a fucking porn game not Shakepeare, it's not gonna be a best selling novel, most are here for something to jerk off to not pay attention if a scene makes sense or not.

I definitely get that you’re not happy with e13 and you want to build a quality game with a quality story. I respect the effort you’re putting into this game and I love the game so far. I do think in some of that there are some things that didn’t have to be there but it’s too late to go back and change them now. My advice is more like business advice. Since release dates have been missed I would at this point just release what you have now and move on. Shift your focus towards your future releases and use this one as a learning opportunity. You may not be satisfied with the quality of e13 but at this point that goose is cooked and you can’t go back and recook it. I say it is what it is at this point. I would release it for your subscribers and move on from it. Moving forward you know what you need to do and what to avoid. I appreciate your explanation of things and I totally get your frustration. I also get how you want everything to flow good and you’re a perfectionist. You have spent a lot of time on e13 and have had a lot of frustration. I think if you try and go back to re work things it will lead to more frustration cause of the issues you have faced with it. That’s why I think it would be best to move on from it. That will help get you out of this rut and put your mind at ease cause you won’t have to work on it anymore. Those are my thoughts. As always I love the game and the story and I’m committed till the end.

Some updates resolve more around the Main story, some more around his Sex Life! Do not destroy yourself because of that. There is nothing wrong to have an EP time to time full of mmmmhhs and aahhhss as long as it doesnt become a constant thing and you keep progressing through the story. So, if you want my opinion: dont remove those secondary chicks and scenes. Better an update of 800 renders with 400 of side (really side) content than 400 renders only. Side content its not bad at all, it can be usseful to keep expectations and give extra play time, like secondary missions on a rpg game. Also, maybe that extra content can lead to some nice content in the future..
