崩壊した研究棟の中。
非常灯だけが赤く点滅し、薄暗い通路を照らしていた。
手にしていたデータ端末が突然ノイズを走らせ、画面が真っ黒に。
「……え……？」
そして、床を引きずるような音が、ゆっくりと近づいてくる――─
②「閉ざされた夜…」
煌びやかなシャンデリアの光が、
美来の黒いドレスを艶やかに照らしていた。
グラスを持つ手が、わずかに震える。
笑顔を崩さないように──そう意識するほど、鼓動が速くなる。
男たちの視線が、静かに彼女を囲い込む。
「……私を呼んだのは、どなたですか？」
返事はない。
ただ、ワインの香りと乾いた笑い声だけが、
静かな部屋に残った──
③「夜更けの診察室──」
夜更けの病院。
誰もいないはずの診察室から、機械の微かな駆動音が響く。
「……先生？」
扉を開けかけた美来の頬を、冷たい空気が撫でた。
