The rest of the day stretched out empty before her, and she wasnโt sure if that was a relief or a curse. Her phone buzzed on the coffee table, and she saw the group chat with her friends lighting up. Of course, theyโd want the gossip. Theyโd been teasing her for days about her date, and now she had to decide how much to spillโor how much to lie about.
