Thanks, babes." Hanging up, Elise gestured toward the door. "They’ll be here in a minute to take you to the staff lounge. We keep a whole closet of options there for moments just like this. You’ll be back to Emilio in no time, looking like a total knockout."

Maryann shifted uncomfortably, crossing her arms protectively across her chest. Elise noticed her discomfort and reached out, gently touching her shoulder.
