Just as Douglas Adam’s taught me the usefulness of a towel when travelling, I learned that you should always know where the sick bag is in a plane. Let’s hope the suggestion of removing them as they are statistically unlikely to be needed doesn’t catch on. Reason is that in the rare instance of an evacuation where there is smoke and/or heated air a sick bag allows you to recycle a precious breath of air, something that could make all the difference in an emergency.
