I also thought it was kinda stupid that those people were living surrounded by monsters without being able to handle it themselves, but I guess the explanation is that monster was particularly troublesome and I assume eventually some first class mage or great warrior would've been sent to deal with it. Even Erwin Smith himself had to recruit from the underground (Levi) in order to protect his ancestral homeland.

Even more than before i have to imagine Fern will start to be more concerned for him especially considering he willingly became the bait and Frieren shot a huge blast just trusting Fern to shield him. Its interesting the see that Frieren trusts them so much but i feel for them a bit as they are still kids. Himmels group at least were all adults well trained in their crafts but Fern and Stark are having to actively rise to the challenge. Thats a lot of pressure and im curious how they will react to it.

My first time was in NYC, where everybody walks everywhere. I got approached by the Chinese chaperone who told me it was too much walking. I said, but it's just a few blocks! And she said something like, the kids don't have an understanding of "blocks," they're just tired 💀

2026-02-11 05:33:43 +0000 UTC5:00 A few weeks ago, I got back from taking a group of students to Tokyo / Hakone for a study abroad over New Year's. There was sooooo much walking. I became extremely self-conscious about how much walking there was by, like, Day 3 of the trip, and I wish I hadn't, since I started trying to take shortcuts or make awkward distractions that didn't help. I think people pick up on that kind of embarrassment about how long it takes, even if it's getting to a cool place. Not sure how to get around that, but thanks for reminding me of the guilt, haha.

2026-02-11 03:24:51 +0000 UTCTo paraphrase another comment I read somewhere, Himmel basically just 100%’d the map before showing up at max level with legendary gear at the final boss. I finished watching Takopi’s earlier, and was planning to start watching your videos on it, but I think I need a breather before watching that first episode again. Frieren is an incredible palate cleanser though. Fern and Stark’s date went about as well as I’d expected for two teenagers who have barely any social interactions with anyone.
