2026-02-16 17:18:01 +0000 UTCHave you ever been to Shinjuku? That's one of those backwards experiences where you're like "oh this is from the game."

2026-02-03 20:20:46 +0000 UTCMy guess is that idol in some form, but maybe local idol actually is her thing :D There's a lot that can be done with her character as someone with one foot in media and one in heroism

2026-02-03 05:41:27 +0000 UTCI think the theme of this season is going to be...DRUGS! Obviously. ;P Just, since that's what Episode 1 was all about? I think it's easy to explain Crab Girl not showing up in the Main Show with her being a cop based in Osaka, which we only saw briefly when Kirishima did his work studies. I wonder about Pop's future aspirations, since everyone keeps telling us she's not that good of a singer I feel like big Idol is probably too ambitious? I was thinking maybe nurse, since she does like helping people and patches up Koichi a lot, what do you think?

2026-02-01 01:31:22 +0000 UTCLOL So... funny you mention that. Wall-E is actually my favorite go to, anti-Pixar example. But I will say that I've only seen it once way back when and can't remember much about it, so it might be worth a revisit

2026-01-30 17:20:48 +0000 UTCNot related at all to the show just interested since this is like the second or third time you took a little jab at Pixar, which tbh I'm with you when it comes to post 2010 Pixar lol. Which of the Pixar movies do you think of as the few good ones alongside Incredibles? (No pressure but if Wall-E isn't on the list I may or may not appear in your walls...E)

2026-01-30 06:52:18 +0000 UTCI love how Aizawa turned out over the years to be very kind and conscientious beneath his exterior. He seems to truly care about people to the core as one of his central motivators.

2026-01-30 03:23:06 +0000 UTCSo, Fat-Gum makes a lot of sense for this narratively. When he's first introduced in the main series, we're also introduced into the production of the quirk deleting bullets made from Eri's body and blood. They were also using a form of trigger. Now back on the topic of Vigilantes itself, I see both Koichi and Deku as Spider-Man adjacent. Deku is more web-based and combat focused, but Koichi, aka The Crawler, moves similarly to how you'd expect Spider-Man to move along surfaces and is great for stealth. I think something that's really nice about Vigilantes as a whole is that the way issues are tackled in this narrative are not handled with conventional or orthodox heroic actions. Still on the side of what's mainly perceived as just, but the ends justifying the means, so to speak. Since Koichi himself isn't combat-oriented, he is heroic in the way of rescuing people, doing kind gestures, and overall being the nice guy he was in episode 1. I also love that Aizawa is just chill and isn't so strict about taking people in. He's lenient and flexible in what he tolerates from people considered as criminals or that would be leaning in that direction. He's very reasonable and rational in most cases. If he doesn't HAVE to do hero work, he probably won't. And yes, that was Midnight! Aizawa, Midnight, and Mic were all familiar with each other, but idr how close they were in the main series.

2026-01-30 02:53:59 +0000 UTCWe’re definitely not done with the whole trigger deal since all we did last season was find a person selling it with that being the queen bee when we know it’s something AFO is doing so it definitely goes deeper I feel it’s definitely something that will probably be the main focus for the entire series Love the Kamen rider ref with the grasshoppers

2026-01-30 02:22:37 +0000 UTCThat scene with Takoyaki is like that one scene in the 2002 Spider-Man with the food tray that they filmed like 156 takes of until Tobey Maguire managed to catch all of the food. Honestly Koichi kind of has Spider-Man vibes anyways with the wall crawling and operating outside the law as well. Also really love the more comic booky art style this show has with the bold outlines and popping colors.
