Touya’s fate honestly gave me a panic attack when I started to think about it. I get he’s a bad person, but this is just a beyond horrible thing to happen to someone. People like to justify this ending for him because he said he still wanted to talk to his family, not realizing that he can hardly even do that. It’s so grizzly and freaky. I honestly just hope he can get proper closure out of this since he at least deserves that. At the very least, Endeavor is FINALLY going to try and atone again by actually trying to talk to Touya. It’s about time. I guess I can respect that he’s still gonna try even though there’s nothing but a hellish future ahead. Well, mostly hellish. He’ll have the support of a fair amount of people so he’s still getting off pretty well all things considered. And I’m happy that Shoto can finally get the happy ending he needs. After shouldering everything, he deserves it. As for me, it’s time to move on. Sometimes you can’t forgive, and that’s okay. All we can do is move forward in our own ways. For what it’s worth, I was never gonna expect this family to have a completely happy ending. It’s called “the hellish Todoroki family” for a reason.

Natsuo Todoroki

Ah that's interesting, I was wondering about that line too.

Alex G

! That's great timing

Alex G

Yup 😊 I'm gonna try to gradually improve my setup now that I can establish roots here

I think it’s very intresting what Bakugo says when he first sees deku, the “what did I do to you” I was confused by this at first but I think I understand what he means. We know Bakugo tends to shoulder blame for things he shouldn’t be blamed for, and in the flash backs we see, it’s moments he is questioning dekus ability, pushing deku to improve, and out right telling I’m to not let Bakugo surpass him. So I wonder is he’s worried he put too much pressure on deku. Not that he did but I can imagine Bakugo sees it like this in his mind. Over the school year Bakugo had built and reinforced that deku needs to go harder, faster, stronger. At first it was a way to put deku down but evolved into a true rivalry, however maybe if Bakugo didn’t apply that pressure, deku wouldn’t have given up his power. And it must be a hard moment, both of his hero’s ended up giving away their powers in a conflict he was directly involved with.

I mean imagine you can basically fly and then you suddenly you can't anymore. would be devastating

I’ve been thinking about this since the episode came out, and I know it’s selfish but if I was I. Dekus shoes, I don’t think I would’ve been able to give up OFA the reasons are obvious but also hard to put into words but it’s giving up a part of yourself that I don’t think I would ever let go of.

It's also cool that since it's an 11 episode season the dub finale will come almost right on new years. end of an era truly

Sale

you mentioned moving into a house so I'm assuming this new dark background is to stay? It's definitely a different vibe

Sale

oh, also, I think there might be a short after credits scene? Just in case

Ryan

I don't think there's a way to do this in English, but Mirio's valedictorian speech was really shockingly different in tone until the last sentence from his normal way of speaking. The first sentence was incredibly formal, perfunctory, and reserved. Definitely deserving of people falling out of their seats. :)

There's so much here and so much I have to say about Rei :D Missed opportunity

Alex G

He made good on his deal. Also lol

Alex G

I found it pretty interesting that Rei seemingly decided to stay with Endeavor in the end despite their “turbulent” past. Tho I do kinda like it, since it shows just how much both have grown. But I can understand why some may dislike it.

Cemagik!

There is no doubt that the OVA will be covering chapter 431, it’s simply a matter of WHEN it’s going to be released. We are probably going to get more information on the 20th.

God seeing Bakugo breakdown and cry because he's now the strongest and dekus unable to compete anymore wrecked me.

Yeah I was worried that I was gonna open the comments for this episode and just seeing people spoiling it but it seems everyone has common sense

Mjw

The fact that you actually noticed the guy at 3:17 is actually wild to me. But I will not spoil it and I hope nobody does either.

Dely F.

Are you going to watch episode 12 that is supposed to be an Ova that will assumingly cover the extra chapter of mha, I hope you react to it, it’s a very important chapter and gives us more epilogue content. I don’t know if it will cover the extra chapter that’s what everyone thinks it is so if it is you absolutely have to!

Mjw

Yeah her only appearance was back in season 5 and it was very brief and easy to miss.

Matthew Richson

I Love how endeavor references back to Dabi asking him to dance in hell with him. I also saw a joke saying that said Todoroki’s hair when he is walking in this episode had more frames the this OPM season which is funny and sad

Mjw

It’s funny every time someone sees Fuwa they forget she’s a character. she has been in the show before and every time I see a clip on TikTok with her in it all the comments always mention how they think she’s an OC

Mjw

It’s funny nobody remembers that the golden tank thing is the girl from the Eri arc festival beauty pageant who always won with the long eye lashes

Mjw

Oh that's interesting and somewhat surprising. Personally I felt it was a nice, logical conclusion to their story. I think it is horrific to see Toya in that state and to imagine the inner pain of the family, especially the hero formerly known as Endeavor, as they deal with the aftermath of everything that's happened. It doesn't feel glamorized. In fact it's difficult. But it ends with the feeling that the family has grown and are doing their best with the situation they now find themselves in. I also think it was a nice touch to have the one son just not want to be around for now, and Endeavor accepting it. Because it's not necessarily about forgiving, it's about doing what's right from here in out.

Alex G

It's also hard for me to imagine that from this point out Ochako will ever be wanting for money. Her initial dream is fulfilled, and a lot more

Alex G

There was and still a decent amount of discourse over the nature of the Todoroki conclusion. Mostly in regard to the morality of Toya’s situation and how story doesn’t seem to treat it with the horror it should be. But I feel people seem to ignore the fact that Toya near the end in season 7, had regrets and wants to talk with his family. His emotional want and the cantharis trumps whatever pain(assuming he can even feel any of it) or discomfort he must be feeling in his containment, which is just a consequence the events in the story. Just another entry in the Todoroki saga that people keep looking at in black & white while ignoring the grey.

Matthew Richson

1. It’s nice that we get see Ochakos dad in this episode and he now has plenty of work due to the war 2. It’s funny when this episode first came out I saw people on twitter confused by th people holding hands at the end of the intro and asking who it was when literally a second later we see the little girl with the same bag which I’m pretty sure we saw her in the mid point episode of season 6 where her brother was under a rock and he was pleading for her to run and that he’d give her his endeavor bag until ochako saved them I think 3. I love how Dabi’s line about how they are on Parallel tracks an will never and todoroki says he’ll force them to converge but then in this episode Dabis Answer shows that there is something the same about them and they aren’t on parallel tracks
