Yes! I wince every time lol. Keep the damn cork in! Given these circumstances though, it's acceptable as you say.

Tears, and gratitude

I mean it's 15th century medicine but maybe if she hadn't pulled out the blade they could have both survived. Atleast I always like to think that because people pulling out knifes and arrows in shows always annoys me. To be fair in this case it was done to use against Nowak. Could be another case where clear scientific thinking might have been useful

Orb is the only show that can somehow make the deaths of our "heroes" look absolutely beautiful. The culmination of story arcs, character arcs and ideologies crescendoing below the night sky and the stars as everyone takes their final breath, feeling hopeful, content and at peace despite the abrupt and unfortunate end to their dreams and goals.

Also, the listed name of the kingdom in the final scene is rather unique compared to it in all the prior episodes, and I'd say that it's rather important for understanding the finale. I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on that episode!

This was a real treat, some of the best commentary I've heard on this channel, and that's a high bar indeed! The final moments of Nowak, Draka, (and I guess Antoni), and the conversations around them are absolutely wonderful and rife with so many juicy rumination possibilities. Each philosophy striking one another as iron till the sparks ignite into flame, providing illumination even as life fades away. Your thoughts on our highest good being a genuine and active search for the highest good, no matter the result we humans can comprehend resonated heavily with my own experiences, and I'll enjoy thinking on it in the days to come. Thanks for this, definitely a highlight of my night!

Nowak is the villain and a awesome one at that Part 2.

Wow I just went back and watched the intro to episode 1... Crazy to look back. Also I think that's Oczy in the first shot

Yeah seems like he knew even without the glove fitting... He just was keeping it at bay by clinging to some notion that he was doing something important, and hoping that it would continue to feel big enough or important enough to plug the hole in his heart

We're finally here. We've arrived at what's probably my favorite episode from the entire show, and man does it get me every time. Though, funny enough, I don't think I have much to say on it this time around. I think this is such a good episode in that it connected everything together, truly the climax of every storyline, and thus we as viewers just simply reap the rewards. I think your insights covered just about everything, precisely because your perspective aligns so closely with the messages the show has been trying to convey for the past 22 episodes! Really grateful that you picked this show up :D In that case, I'll just point out a couple details: 1. Draka's hand dripping blood onto the soil after she passed away --- makes out the pattern that is in the opening scene of the show in episode 1 during the "What must one offer to acquire the truth of the world?" question. 2. Ever since episode 1, the setting has always been labeled as merely "Kingdom of P". But during the ending time-skip here, the setting changes to "Kingdom of Poland". There is an objectively correct interpretation of what this means, but just to be safe in the event that revealing it counts as spoilers --- I'll hold off till the end! But it's a nice detail to keep in mind for now.

…and everyone died, the end! What a memorable character arc for Novak. The whole interaction between him and Draka I was begging for her to say Jolenta instead of leader but it didn’t make any difference. Novak knew.
