2025-11-04 01:04:00 +0000 UTCSeverance and now this, I enjoyed your non anime reactions more than anime recently. Hopefully you start another, either a western animation or a live action series.

2025-11-03 07:40:08 +0000 UTCWhat a great series, you are pretty much the 3rd person i have seen react to this series so thank you for that. Also if u remember at the start of episode 1 when the girls were copying maddies movements somehow without looking at her, thats probably the simulation glitching when "god" maddie takes over which is cool.

2025-11-03 07:32:00 +0000 UTCThis was a fun and awesome ride with you. Great show. I am glad you loved it. Let's see what you will watch next with us. Looking forward to it. :D

2025-11-03 07:22:22 +0000 UTCI'd definitely be open to it, it feels sort of wrong to just end the series on by far the most packed episode without time to think about it 😂 Usually with shows there's a slow gradual thematic build and it's sort of made the statement it has to make BEFORE the climax, then you get to enjoy the final ride. But that's definitely not the case here. To say it's back loaded is massive understatement. Not really sure what it would be though. A Q&A could be fun.

2025-11-03 04:55:20 +0000 UTCCan’t believe the pantheon journey is over already! What an ending though, it’s so much to wrap your brain around yet somehow remains pretty grounded? I love how it makes you toss the whole “are we in a simulation?” thing out the window. It’s so many simulations deep that it doesn’t even matter, and the show makes a point that it shouldn’t matter, it doesn’t make the lives any less real. I think the idea of building towards god is really interesting. How maybe god will come about from us or some other intelligent species down the road and it becomes a being outside of time. At that point what even is linear time? The more we learn about physics and the fabric of the universe the less our understanding of time holds up. Like if you were to fall into a black hole for example, it’s theorized that the singularity is not a place you can go, but an event that you reach. Time and space become completely flipped, and this stuff exists in the same universe we live in. On that note, do you think you’ll be making any more content on pantheon? Like an analysis video or a qna? Feel like it would be really fun and interesting to do it with this show.

2025-11-03 04:50:40 +0000 UTCSomething as simple as pope having to crouch and being out of breath feels very poignant given the circumstances of UI-topia. And something as "simple" as shooting a gun to kill someone is a similarly poignant full stop.

2025-11-03 03:27:55 +0000 UTCIt's at this level of plot consideration that my head starts spinning but I'm wondering if Safe Surf isn't some later refined version of the two of them.

2025-11-03 02:31:03 +0000 UTCI think David's comment about them being back is gonna come true, Maddie and Caspian just need a break from godhood and get back to their roots, to remotivate them about why they did what they did by reconnecting with their humanity and experience, and then eventually they'll make their way to the Galactic Core (I mean Safe Search already observed it so it didn't just give Maddie that offer with no reason). In truth it needs to be their partnership as she said back in Season 2 Episode 4, once they go through the show again they'll be able to push each other to move on from the nostalgia and into the future.

2025-11-03 02:16:29 +0000 UTCI agree that the show could’ve used a third season focusing on the time skip arc. Lots of cool stuff, but it felt like it was going by too fast to process and left a lot of questions about the state of the world and the human vs UI conflict.

2025-11-03 02:08:03 +0000 UTCLooking back it's really impressive how reasonably approachably they represent all of these high concept scifi ideas in the last like only 30 minutes of this episode. Like I might have mentioned with what I view as the largest difference between modern and classic scifi. Pantheon as an example of modern scifi done well is able to ground these mindboggling concepts in its characters. Like it's still able to feel so intimate and warm in a way. Maybe it's with me having seen this a few times and maybe I've gotten more used to it or changed myself a bit but I remember the feeling I had at the end of this is probably the most "eyes wide open, questioning all of existence" I've ever been at the end of a piece of media. The craziest thing is we never get to see the original "real" world that created safesearch itself that started all this. We're only allowed to bear witness to this infinite recursion but if we want to believe there is Still some form of physics being followed here there should be a limit to how recursive it can get in terms of simulation within simulations. I'm a little conflicted on this ending weirdly because I feel like they answer too many things but also not enough things at the same time. I guess making you want more is usually the sign of great writing though. I myself would maybe have preferred if it had all stayed a bit more vague. One thing I really appreciate with the safesurf meeting and the conversations with David is how this mirrors one other speficic piece of scifi media I also adore atleast if it's an intentional reference. (The movie and Carl Sagan novel contact in context you'll know how it's referenced if you have seen/read it) so I do like that they brought in still a little bit of that "alien" element in there to ground even the unbelievable godlikeness of future Maddie. Also I can't put into words how much I appreciate that a high quality reaction series of this show now exists. It has really allowed me some new perspectives on this show as it's definitely not an easy one to convince people to watch. You should definitely look into doing reactions to more similar high concept scifi in the future, I think you have really interesting takes on it all. It has been a highlight for me to stay up late for these reactions though probably not the best for my sleep schedule :)

2025-11-03 01:21:40 +0000 UTCWe did it! We got to the crazy end! Hope we keep up with some other deep philosophical western animations in the future after this, still think Castlevania for example would be a good replacement for this one 😉
