I appreciate that you analyze and remember the small details and conversations, bc this show loves making things you thought were unimportant, in fact very important 😂 Also. I apologize because I feel the comments of an unrelated show are not where I should leave this, but I just had to bring it up 😅 It’s outside the usual genres so maybe there isn’t enough overlap with your audience, but if there was, I would LOVE to see a reaction to the Haunting of Hill House series. It is so deep and psychological, and there are so many interesting topics going on about life and relationships. I’m not even usually a horror fan, it’s just such a good show. Just a thought :)

Also, like you were expecting, it's nice to see the less creepy side of jinshi 😅, and everything he's doing to help the inner palace, the courtesans and court ladies flourish.
