2025-10-29 00:24:40 +0000 UTCI want to have you be aware, the last 2 episodes are going to be a bit more abstract.

2025-10-29 00:22:14 +0000 UTCIt's amazing to me how often I hear messages along the vein of "nothing we do really matters in the future anyway," even from people who seem very connected to ideas of significance in their lives and the importance of what they're doing. I get what they mean and I understand the benefits of reflecting on the reality of things. At the same time I often get the sense, maybe incorrectly, that this is actually something that deeply pains them. And it seems to me at least that they're right in their way but wrong in a more important way. I would tell them but they don't know who I am 😂

2025-10-27 06:32:19 +0000 UTCI wish 11-year-old me could have heard Alex's speech about mea ing after bei g forgotte . I'm ot sure I was ready to hear it at that time, but it might have reduced the time I spe t "wa dering" without purpose a d i creased the time wa dering with i te t. I really like the Frei reveal; there are hi ts throughout, and it seems totally plausible i retrospect, but it's powerful whe it all comes together at o ce.

2025-10-26 03:31:01 +0000 UTCWow that's so cool. The backstory reveal was an interesting experience because it drained all the anger out of it and it just felt sad to me

2025-10-26 02:24:00 +0000 UTCI don't know if you caught it, but Frei's final words and chastising were a 1:1 mirror of his uncle's words to his dad. The footage actually lines up incredibility well, too! Credit to the Reddit post that brought this to my attention, I think this cycle of hatred is what imprinted the sense of devotion towards the crumbling Church Orthodoxy onto Frei from ever since he was a boy. The baiting from the show on trying to make you think the boy from the backstory was Schmidt----which certainly would've made sense as it could've been the reason for the shaping of his radical character----only for it to turn out to be the equally radical Frei (just on the other end), was really spectacularly done! He was definitely moved by seeing how Draka was able to gradually change her worldview (honoring Yolenta, giving up her father's coins, leaving the decision of escape to the coin toss, etc), and thus started changing his own. Bro was supposed to be unmoved by personal feelings, LOL
