The day truly has come... this will forever be my favorite anime/manga series I think. Hard to imagine something ever replacing the place this has in my heart. I'm absolutely stoked to see your thoughts on everything coming up, especially given how beautiful of a job BONES has been doing with adapting this season so far. Thank you as well for all your thoughts on this series to date. When you first started reacting to this show, public opinion on MHA was in a much worse place than it is now, and it only continued to get worse and worse until season 6 of the anime began to air. There was a really dark period where people by and large hated or dismissed the series. It was hard to be a fan of a show that I thought of as so brilliant and beautiful when everywhere you turned people scoffed at it and dismissed it as poorly written for one reason or another. Having you, someone with a sharp analytical perspective, fall in love with the show really helped me to affirm my own feelings about how special this series was, during a time where I had started to feel crazy for thinking MHA was a masterpiece. It meant more to me than I can truly convey, so thank you for caring, and for seeing the beauty in this show in the way that I saw it. I hope you enjoy this final season :)

2025-10-22 01:55:40 +0000 UTCYeah and I'm guessing it was also a byproduct of him just doing way too much and cracking under the physical and mental strain, especially since his main goal had already been largely achieved at the time. I can feel intuitively how that would lead to losing touch, forgetting the original motivations, etc. It's always something that needs refreshing. We can't just coast forever on one feeling one decision, we need touchstones that revitalize us. I think that's the significance of the "symbol" or inner ideal that the show explores. All Might's inner ideal had been somewhat dulled with time and exhaustion, but Deku lifted him up, followed by 1-A and more, in sort of a web of them keeping the fire lit for each other.

2025-10-22 01:09:17 +0000 UTCAnd we're back! And I'm already giggling at your summary, how do you do it? It's so good to be back though, and what a way to kick off the final season. Def the end of an era, but let's enjoy it to the fullest once more! I love the writing here, All Might's final stand, using all of 1A, Hagakure finally getting her moment in tandem with Aoyama, it's all so beautiful. And the back and forth of emotions, cheering him on because he's doing much better than expected, getting a sense of victory, only to be reminded that no, we all knew the likely outcome of this fight. The dread setting in, but then hope in the most unexpected form of Stain of all people! When we finished his arc back in S2 I never would have guessed we'd end up here. Regarding the All Might origin though: We know he was quirkless and he had a vision, but do we think he knew Nana could pass on her power and was seeking her out specifically (I feel like that's unlikely) or did he have some other plan to achieve his vision and she just happened to save him once, so he latched onto her to make it happen? Coz then Deku reminding him that it's not the power because he too started quirkless and with only a dream is even more significant. I really think All Might lost sight of that over time and had to relearn it over the course of the show, but at this point he's probably had a quirk for longer than he was ever quirkless, so maybe that's not surprising.

I’ve mentioned it before, but I decided to join the patreon after the room tour episode, as it was the latest upload at the time. Plus, that episode you had a mini rant against Invisible Girl for her comments on Kirishima’s room, which is funny to think about seeing how far she’s come in this episode.

The way that you have covered MHA over the years, it honestly gets me super emotional that the journey is coming to an end. In lots of ways you are one of the few reactors who I feel totally gets Horikoshi’s vision for the story. I was a total mess when the manga finished and with the way that Studio Bones has adapted the first 3 eps I know that they’ll be many tears ahead. This is going to be an amazing 12 weeks watching with you in the Dub. I know it’s sad it’s only 1 cour but just like them getting back Pornograffitti for the last OP, it started with 1 cour and soo it’s right for it to end with 1 cour. “THE DAY HAS COME.” 💚🧡

Now he's back in Deku's shoes, which is also where he started. But now he's a hero (without the quirk) In hindsight I think the grandmother and grandson are interesting. There's a lot to it but there's probably too much going on this season to be able to come back to it 😂

2025-10-21 01:33:07 +0000 UTCFinally the final season of the show that introduced my to your channel and subbing to the patron for the first time, I find it interesting that the episode is titled Yoshinori Yagi rising/origin instead of something all might related because even typing this feels like a stretch but the slash part origin immediately makes me think of how this isn't the Symbol fighting it's the person behind that Symbol fighting now with no quirk and just the power at his disposal from all the people around him. I think that kid is just supposed to represent how people in far off places are reacting to the news and how even if some people (Old lady) don't think this will directly affect them, some people (the KId) still care about what happens even if its about someone they don't know. YES! the season 1 op makes came back for the final season and the first open even had that one english line saying "the day has come" and now its here to and also the first one had deku reaching out at the light of all might and now we have all of class 1-A reaching out to (I feel its safe to assume) Deku We didn't get to hear much of him last season but we got to alot this ep and I must say AFO young VA is killing it I can hear so much passion and condescension in his voice I was a bit worried at first because AFO voice is so iconic and I didn't know if they young voice would be able to match it but he's killing it and I think he has one of my favorite performances so far, also so far the season feels animated a little differently in a good way, like a lot of care was put in to it with the way the draw certain scenes and how they outline people like all might

Shigaraki, Aoyama, Machia, even All Might and the past OFA users, to name a few. It really shows how much he lacks the understanding of what makes someone important. Never look down on anyone, AFO, that's why you got fried by Can't Stop Twinkling laser and held down my Mineta's sticky balls.
